I hired Zezo (Swaha Locksmith) to re-key locks for my new home. He told me it would be $50 for an electronic deadbolt and $30 per cylinder, then quoted $120 for my job. I brought new, unopened locks: • 1 Schlage Encode deadbolt • 2 Schlage FB50 single-cylinder deadbolt + handle sets After seeing the boxes, he recommended using the Encode’s key to re-key the other cylinders, charging $30 x 4 = $120, and giving me one key copy. I trusted his professional recommendation and paid. Afterward, I realized both FB50 sets already had the same factory key code, meaning they already matched each other. The only lock that needed re-keying to match everything was the Schlage Encode, which would have been $50 based on his own pricing. When I raised this, he said he “doesn’t look at the numbers” and that I “should have told him.” No refund or resolution was offered. A locksmith should catch something this basic and recommend the least work needed — especially when it affects home security. Sharing this so others can make an informed choice.

Zezo is amazing! He helped with a police lockout of an evicted tenant and knew the procedure. He was able to guide me through the process. I have also asked him for help in other cities, I am a Realtor, and help my clients re-key. He has been super helpful from slider door locks to safety doors and the typical front door re-key. He even has additional knobs and deadbolts on hand for any sticky situations as well as the tools to change out bad locks. His prices are extremely fair, he is very professional, and will continue to use his services.
