My father called the shop about getting my front and back door locks rekeyed to another lock. The gentleman quoted my father between $14-$18/lock and said he was short staffed so I should get there as soon as possible. I brought the two doorknobs and two deadbolts to the store, which was as empty as his parking lot, and he told me it would be about $30/lock and they could not be keyed the same. He tried to sell me his doorknobs and deadbolts (cheaper quality than mine, which mine are Schlage) for $160. He said his don’t have plastic parts (neither did mine) but he still claimed they were cheap and “if they fell apart after he rekeyed them, he was washing his hands of them.” This business is very dishonest and will try to upsell you an overpriced, cheaper product. From start to finish, this gentleman was untruthful about everything he said. I advise you steer clear of this business at all costs!

Above and Beyond Service!

We recently had the team of Accurate Locksmith program a TOMB Prox key (we purchased from them) for our son's 2017 Jeep Renegade, and the experience was absolutely outstanding. From the very beginning, their communication was clear, prompt, and professional. They took the time to explain the process, answered all our questions, and kept us updated every step of the way.

What really stood out was their determination and effort to get the job done right. Programming this particular key wasn’t straightforward to say the least. It took a few attempts and after two - they suggested we contact a local dealership to complete the job. The team reached out and offered to try ONE LAST TIME. After hitting every obstacle imaginable- their patience, precision and dedication paid off and everything worked perfectly!

Martin, Tom and Joann truly went above and beyond, and we’re extremely grateful for their top-tier service. If you need locksmith services done right, we highly recommend them!

They wasted my time, money by saying they had the needed parts to copy my key fob so I went to them rather than the ladder. When arriving the worker didn’t even try to open the original fob, when I told him I’d be able to open it he decided to check and they didn’t have it in stock. Made me pay $90 for a stupid key without a fob so now I have to manually unlock my doors. Rip off. “ that’s the best I can do, it’s either that or nothing”

Martin and his team are fantastic. I need keys made and they were done asap. I also lost the keys to my RV and they come out and replaced the ignition within 2hrs. I had some concerns and Martin himself came out in the early morning hours and fix it himself. Can’t say enough about this company. Great customer service from beginning to end.

Frequently Asked Questions

They cut standard car keys and can program many transponder and fob styles when compatible parts and equipment are available. Availability varies by make, model, and year, so calling with your vehicle details is recommended. If a required chip or fob isn’t in stock, they may need to order it. Turnaround for simple keys is often quick in-shop.

Rekeying to a single key is often possible when the locks are of the same keyway and compatible brand or cylinder type. Bringing the hardware to the shop can speed up the process and allow a firm quote. If locks aren’t compatible, they may suggest replacement hardware. It’s best to confirm pricing and compatibility before work begins.

They provide both in-shop and on-site services, depending on the job and scheduling. Simple key copies are typically done at the shop, while vehicle lock or ignition issues and commercial work may be scheduled on-site. Calling ahead helps them confirm availability. Travel areas are centered around Scranton and nearby communities.

Have your vehicle’s year, make, model, and proof of ownership ready, and bring any existing keys or fobs. Ask whether the correct fob or chip is in stock and request a price range for parts and programming. If the part must be ordered, they can advise on timing. This helps avoid return trips or unexpected delays.

Weekday hours are generally 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday based on current listings. Hours can change, so a quick call before you head over is a good idea. On-site scheduling may vary by technician availability.
