Went to have multiple keys cut here because its uncommon. They knew exactly where this place was based on the key alone. They were about 5 times quicker than Lowe's for about the same price. I wouldn't go anywhere else to have keys made.
I am disappointed in the service I received. Jenkins came highly recommended to me by several people. When I made an appointment to have one lock rekeyed and to replace another with a keyless entry device I bought, I waited three weeks. I was uncomfortable waiting that long since others had keys to the house I now occupy, but I waited. The locksmith was very professional and on time. However, he did not know how to program my keypad. There are instructions, but I thought by telling the scheduler the type of lock I had, Jenkins would send someone who knows how to program them as part of customer service. When I called to inquire today, I was told 1) if I wanted someone there earlier, I could have scheduled it as a lockout (more expensive) but no one told me that when I made the appointment, and 2) if I want someone to come out to assist with the keypad, it's $60/hour for someone else who has that skill. No thanks. They should have sent someone with that skill in the first place, and it would have been part of the hourly rate I was changed then. Beyond that, the woman on the phone talked over me the entire call until I asked her not to, and to please let me complete a sentence. She let me finish, then said she was trying to tell me something. Yes, she was, by talking over me. I had a terrible customer service experience, and will never use them again. read less
Been going here for a long time for keys, their keys are high quality. They do good work here. However on my latest visit one of the employees was vaping right before I walked in and the whole store smelled. When he spoke with me I could see the smoke coming out of his mouth. I won’t be going back, as that secondhand smoke is a health hazard.
Super helpful staff. I was planning on bringing an ignition lock cylinder to them to have mats to a key, and a helpful gentleman pointed out to me that the problem is most likely not the lock cylinder but something else. I am grateful that he didn't just take my money and instead pointed me towards a helpful solution. He was correct, and I will be recommending these folks to everyone!
I bought two keys three months ago, but one fell apart IN the lock the first time I used it in that lock. and now they want fifty bucks an hour to get it out. They are thin. I am an old lady and not strong, put no pressure on it, but the metal was too thin and soft to function as a workable key. They won't stand behind it. They tried to make me feel like it was my fault. Only the young man by the door said "hey, it's only going to take fifteen minutes so it would be $12.50 or so." For that much money, they should stand behind their product and not risk a bad review! They spent longer than that trying to blame me!So I will need to take my business elsewhere. I suggest you do as well.
