As a driving instructor in the San Marcos area, I have referred over a hundred of my driving students and other friends to this awesome place. The reason is because they have the advanced technology to make functional and affordable key fobs for most vehicles. Most people who purchase used vehicles need a spare second or third vehicle key fob and this locksmith can do the job. In addition, they are extremely knowledgeable about lockouts and home lock issues and installation procedures. We have sought their help with these procedures as well.Day and night’s small staff is very helpful, professional and respond very quickly. A real gem of a much needed business.
What's the point of writing instructions in the notes if you guys don't read the notes? The dispatcher was rude and the technician was rude.
Highly recommend! Was referred to Day & Night Locksmith on a sliding door malfunction for my parents house. Chris was awesome! He was on a project but took my call briefly and called me back asap. Truly understood our situation and scheduled us in immediately. He came in and was able to identify and fix the problem. Friendly, professional, and will use again if we’re ever in need. Thanks Chris!
I lost my key lanyard which had BOTH of my cars' key fobs on it. I called Day and Night and Chris got me in that SAME DAY, cut and programmed BOTH KEYS in under an hour, was VERY REASONABLY PRICED and now I'm back in business. If you live in North County and are in need of a locksmith, support a local, family owned business and call Day and Night Security Lock. Thanks Chris!
Absolutely Horrible Service. Call Another Locksmith. AAA sent Chris, the owner, out to unlock my car. Despite me alerting AAA and Chris, directly in a phone call prior to his arrival, I had the key, that it was not locked inside the car, and the problem was with the lock. When he got here, he refused to attempt to open it with a slim jim that he had in his possession or attempt any other entry. This was a 1990 vehicle -- in 1990, a slim jim was the primary way locked vehicles were entered. He admitted a slim jim was capable of entering the car, but did not want to do it -- with the only reason given that "this was supposed to be a short call." I said, you haven't even tried, it may take you 30 seconds (which is how long I have personally seen it take on this model car in the past). I said you haven't even tried. He then place a wedge in the window, shined a light in for ten seconds and said he wasn't going to do it, and got in his truck, again repeating -- "this is supposed to be a short call." I asked him how long a short call normally is limited to, and to at least attempt entry into the car for that period of time -- which he refused to even identify how much time he is supposed to dedicate to a AAA "short call.". I spoke to AAA after, and they told me the call allows for 45 minutes at the location. AAA also told me Chris tried to convince AAA that this isn't even a covered AAA call -- which is not true -- they have a selection when requesting the call that says key is not locked in the car with other problem. They also said it was a covered call and they had no problem sending someone else to attempt entry. Chris spent about 5 minutes here, with about 4 of those minutes arguing that he was not going to even attempt entry (and who knows how long he spent trying to convince AAA that it shouldn't be a covered service call). He probably will still get paid by AAA to do make no real attempt to unlock the car and leave right away, while being rude. I had to wait hours for AAA to have someone available with a slim jim. It got to be so long, that I had to call someone outside of AAA and have the problem solved within minutes after their arrival. I would highly recommend not calling Day & Night Security when you need assistance.Update after owner's response:Unfortunately, There is a limited amount of characters to respond, and there is a lot of dishonesty in the owner's response.--I did not withhold the facts of the problem when we spoke before he arrived. In fact, he suggested on the phone filing a new key instead of a slim jim -- I explained in my untrained opinion that since I had the key and the lock won't open -- filing a second key will likely be as unsuccessful as my original key. The owner keeps throwing around the word "insistent," which i did none of that day -- that is merely a common-sense, untrained thought -- but, as a locksmith, he is the one who should have alternate ideas other than a slim jim to gain entry into a malfunctioning lock. I did not insist on anything, I merely pointed out that I'm trying to get the door unlocked and I'm not sure that would accomplish anything. It is not only common sense, but proof that I did disclose the issue.-- My door was not "jammed and inoperable." The problem was the key would no longer unlock the lock. The passenger door was not open. I explained to him that it can be opened with the key, but entry can't be made because the car was parked so close to a wall.-- The call was absolutely covered by AAA-- He is contracted to spend 45 minutes on the call -- if he had another appointment, he should have considered that before taking my call and still made a good-faith effort to gain entry in the allowed time -- he made no attempt at all.Anyone can dial the AAA number and hear the message option for lockout where key is not in the car. Anyone can verify AAA allotted time for the call of 45 minutes. Everyone knows what a vendor is up to if they schedule another call within that timeframe they have already committed to AAA and the customer.
