The 1st call I made to what seemed like a top tier moving company landed me with every red flag...1 hour to make payment, no itemizations...I called JK Movers for a Virginia to Scottsdale, AZ move. "Mae" directly made an appointment for next morning to photo each piece that was going (all by phone), by that afternoon I had an estimated formal quote through email. No pressure, No demands. There was a fee to Book the Reservation, several days later. Questions by phone/text/email were always answered very quickly. "Chris", our Driver was professional, personable, exacting & called 30 minutes out, he was assisted by Edgar and Alex. Each excellent and skilled! Padded/wrapped antiques with great care, in and out, and completed in the snow! Delivery time frame was precise, actually a day early. Premier company to work with. Zero headaches...Great, great, service!

I interviewed four moving companies to facilitate my move from the Midwest to the East Coast. JK Moving was the most organized and efficient. They use AI technology along with top notch employees. Moving is stressful. The employees at JK Moving were friendly, hard working and took great care with my belongings. I highly recommend JK moving. Other companies may come in with a lower bid to try to win you over—don’t be fooled. JK is the best moving company available.

We had a complicated move with a house and the contents of a storage unit being moved to a different house. Our crew of 8 from JK was so professional and great - even when the trucks at the house we were moving out of had to ask the road crew who was digging a massive trench in front of our house to put a metal plate down so the trucks could park. (3 trucks!) The crew was fast, efficient, and placed furniture where we wanted, and put everything together, including scheduling a service to dis-assemble and re-assemble our treadmill. We also loved being able to collect moving boxes from the JK moving supplies depot, and those that work there too were super helpful and friendly. Thanks for making a stressful move much less stressful!

If I could give zero stars I would. The service is absolutely reprehensible. Despicable customer service, delayed responses, the communication is deplorable. They don't even communicate properly with their own movers. This was the first time I trusted anyone with my belongings, but was being transferred, was not able to find a trailer for my truck and could not get one through U haul, my options were shrinking and I had to get going. This place was the only outfit that responded to my calls for a move from VA to TX. "Clarke" showed up for an in house estimate. I expressed to "Clarke" when he came to my apartment, all of my belongings have been passed down through generations, most of them irreplaceable. He assured me everything would be fine. My belongings would be treated with the utmost care. After I signed and gave a deposit, I immediately felt ill, this should have been my first clue. "Clarke" dropped off the face of the earth, never to be heard from again. I did not receive any communication at all for weeks, then random people called to confirm the move. Each person asked the same questions, I felt like a human parrot giving the same answers over and over again. They had no record of any past conversations I had with anyone there. When the movers showed up, they were completely uninformed. All the instructions I had given over and over again, were never conveyed to the crew. I had to walk them through everything over the phone. "Clarke" assured me three people would be sent to move my things out due to logistics, only two arrived. My apartment is on the third floor, with an enclosed breezeway and a fire door that cannot be propped open. These guys were not happy. The coordinator "Dustie" who was away or could not reached or ignored my calls, emails, everything. The only time she was consistent was calling for the remaining balance and she was overly assertive about it. I made sure I did not pay a final balance until the truck arrived and I physically viewed my belongings inside the truck. She was not happy about it but why should I or anyone, pay for a service that had not been completed? She is completely incompetent and gives zero flips about customer satisfaction. When the movers were taking my belongings off the truck, I noticed damaged and torn boxes, boxes that were not supposed to be on their side, fragile and breakable items/boxes on the bottom of the stack, bins stacked upside down (breaking everything in the bins), some boxes were destroyed and some of my items were simply a miss. The beautiful handmade table, by my uncles hands, was dismantled and all hardware was unaccounted for - the table was not supposed to be disassembled!!! Now, I can't put it back together!!!!!! My belongings were not treated with the utmost care at all. Never, ever, ever would I refer this company to anyone. This has been an awful experience. Lesson learned.

Look Elsewhere. My husband and I moved half way across the country. While JK Moving was ok in some respects, and communicated fairly well, they were chaotic and rushed things in most ways. The day of the move in they hurried everything within the bounds of still be "mostly" acceptable and tried to just dump stuff as fast as possible and get out. Moreover, we had several items DAMAGED or BROKEN in the move, including a small wine fridge, two lamps, and then a desk that was reassembled so poorly as to be unfixable. JK Moving DENIED the claim for the damage the caused, and are refusing to reimburse us for the damage. We paid EXTRA specifically for full the value damage protection and, despite paying this, they refused to cover what they broke. This denial seems improbable given that the lamp was shattered into many pieces and the door to the wine fridge literally will not close. We had considered using them again in the future because, of course, things happen and that is why the coverage for damaged items exists. The cost of the move was considerable so the fact that they will not accept responsibility for their missteps is really infuriating. Since they refused the claim, we are going elsewhere and we would NOT recommend this company despite whatever other reviews might say.
