Reviews frequently note timely updates by text or email and courteous, efficient delivery and moving crews. Several customers highlight smooth long-haul moves and careful handling. A smaller number mention issues with item placement or adherence to instructions during residential moves, and some logistics reviewers cite strict appointment windows. Overall sentiment leans positive, with communication and crew professionalism as common themes.

Planes Moving and Storage delivered our Saatva mattress and did a superb job. Kept us informed as to estimated delivery time via text and email. Once here the driver Osvaldo Fernandez and his assistant were very professional, yet friendly and respectful. It was the end of the day for them yet they cheerfully and efficiently delivered our bed and hauled the old one away. Good company with great employees.

Planes was one of our vendors at work (I'm in Operations) and they did a great job for us - which is why I hired them for my personal move from an apartment to a house. I knew they'd be pricey but, I thought, worth the money. They were not. I should have hired someone else. I had separated my boxes and furniture into 3 groups: basement, garage and upstairs bedroom. I told the crew lead and he said that was great. And then proceeded to completely disregard the information. My move was one block away where my friend would let them in to unload while I finished up in the apartment. But instead I had to be at the house because none of the crew knew where to put things. Seriously? For $1500 I have to hold their hands after I told them which grouping went where? For that amount of money, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the moving crew to pay attention to important details. In addition, they didn't put the legs back on my couch which, because I was exhausted I didn't notice for a few days and it messed up my knees. (I'd been in the hospital for 5 days 3 weeks before my move, so I was running on fumes due to being behind on everything. The Planes salesman, Jim, and my contact, Kyra, knew this.) I've hired movers in the past and they always put my furniture back together. Again, DETAILS.

I was not happy with Kyra's response that I should have told them about the couch legs before they were done and that they weren't responsible for knowing where everything went. Really? Your crew can't label things themselves in whatever way works for them? If I'm charged a premium price, I expect better service. Well, the next time we need movers at work, it will be a new vendor.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the crew did work hard, up and down multiple stairs on a very cold day. And they were very polite and honest. But I will never use this company again, nor will I recommend them.

Lastly, when I told them why I wasn't happy about my experience, I wasn't looking for a refund. I was looking for accountability. I wonder how much more they would have charged for that.

Used Planes twice to move now -- and it's been an easy, low-cost and efficent process each time. For long haul moves, they're my go to (although I don't plan to move again anytime soon!)

Kudos to the actual movers though. Up and down endless flights, always with a smile and a pep in their step. I don't know how thye do it, but I've been impressed each time.

If there were negative stars, I would give them MINUS 5.

I showed up with 2 pallets at 8 a.m., but the guy at the office said my appointment was 9am.
They made me sit at their lot for 1 hr despite the fact that all docks were open.
Come by appointment ONLY, STRICTLY. Show up at the exact time, no minute less or more.

Place is gated, but I guess you can pack along the street for overnight parking..

They open early, but receiving/shipping, i think, is from 9 am.

Best of luck, truckers!!!

Can I just report that this moving team, Mike and Stacey, and all involved, truly made this move a positive experience. I was so troubled and worried about my things and the expense… but it all worked out with my things being picked up/packed and delivered as discussed and planned… and I was contacted on a regular basis confirming this.

To all involved a heart felt thank you!
