I've had the opportunity to use Powerhouse Mover twice in the past week. EACH time they took exceptional care of my items...not a single item was damaged and they are knowledgeable about how to handle heavy and large items like loaded freezers and refrigerators. They brought everything into my house without any damage to walls, corner, rugs or any part of my home. AND they responded to me with a very short notice. I couldn't have asked for a better movie company. If needed I definitely would use them again.

I have tried a few moving companies and overall this was my best experience. I don’t plan on moving again anytime soon, but if I did they would be the ones I would call. The guys worked hard and it was brutally hot that day. There was a little miscommunication with the bill, but we got it worked out. I will be referring them to anyone that ask if I know of a good moving company.

I hired this moving company in June 2019 to move my household 1 mile. The owner presented himself as caring and professional and had all the answers to my questions prior to hiring. On the day of the move, his team of three guys were on time with seemingly enough supplies and padding, but when finding out the short distance of my move, they decided not to pack/stack and then strap items inside the truck to prevent movement. I was not consulted beforehand and had no idea what their decision would lead to! The team leader also declined my request to take the dresser drawers out of the dressers before loading onto a 2-wheeler which was not completely padded.
As the truck contents was being unloaded at the new house, my friend, who was assisting me that day, noticed the sofa had several dents and pulled fabric; appearing to be broken on the arm and back. This sofa was less than a year old! It was high quality structure and fabric and was not like this when it was placed into the moving truck! Movers insisted it was not a problem and surely I had overlooked the damage when the furniture store delivered it. Seriously?! This was too obvious to have been overlooked in any instance and the furniture store would never have delivered such a damaged piece. I inspected all of the wooden pieces of furniture as they were brought in and each piece had chips, scratches, gouges, or rub marks. Again, the team leader stated they were like that prior to being loaded. This was 8 month-old furniture and I am an older lady living alone. My furniture was in mint condition.
Their remedy was using a furniture marker on the wood pieces which only made the problem worse. Both my friend and I took photos of all of the damaged pieces to document, I called Tom immediately, I wrote down a list of the damaged pieces and had the team leader sign it. As they left that day, there was some acknowledgement of culpability, but it had to be addressed by Tom Powers, the owner.
I did have additional phone conversations with Tom regarding the damage and was told that although they advertise "insured", they have a high deductible and don't use it. Buyer beware! Even if you inquire and think you have hired a company that''s insured, there can be issues. I have sent mailed communication to Powerhouse Moving, Inc. with no response.
Finally, I had my furniture restored by an expert furniture repairman which was substantial additional cost to my move....my sofa was broken and unusable. To date, I have not heard from Tom Powers or anyone at this company so I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company or use them again!

Update: Mr. Powers, thank you for acknowledging my review. I totally agree that every story has two sides; however, you were not on premises the day of the move, you were not in town to see the damage, and just as your team leader tried to blame me, you are continuing to do so also. You have defended your position with the same fervor as you did in 2019, you have added false accusations here, and you were given the opportunity to cover the cost of damages.
