I can’t say enough good things about Transition. Fantastic customer service, communication and support. They managed everything from packing, storage, consignment, unpacking and helping organize my Mom’s new apartment in Brightview. They didn’t leave until she was all set-up. We could not have done it without their team.
The experience with this moving company was amazing! We have moved many times, and these movers worked faster than any other movers we had used before. We were moving some personal boxes and couldn't keep up with them. All furniture was wrapped and was moved with no damage. They were very polite and so efficient. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend!
We highly recommend using Transition Truck ?? ! They helped move our father into an Assisted Living home and his other belongings into my home. They did three different stops on a miserable rainy day. The movers were very professional.
The staff was professional, kind, hardworking from beginning to end. They went above and beyond and no task was ever too much to ask! Kayla one of the owners gave a “boutique” experience from the time she came out to give us an estimate throughout the move. I would highly recommend this company. They were fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about this company.
**** I would like to update some on this review. After talking with Gavin he has paid the repair for the couches. Again, he did discount some of the total cost of the move as well. But the way it had initially been handled was not the best in my opinion. My experience with Transition Trucking was unprofessional and disappointing from start to finish. The crew was scheduled for an 8–9 AM arrival window, yet they didn’t show up until around 9:30 and didn’t actually begin working until about 10 AM. That late start set the tone for the rest of the move.I only chose this company because someone I had used previously, who provided excellent service when he owned and ran his own moving business, is now merged with or working under Transition Trucking. Unfortunately, the quality and professionalism I experienced before did not carry over to this company. The difference in service was drastic.By the end of the job, several of my belongings were damaged due to obvious negligence and careless handling. My washer and dryer both had deep gouges, impact marks, and large paint scratches on multiple sides. Some photos clearly show dragged surfaces and scraped metal the type of damage that only happens when appliances are mishandled, not lifted properly, or banged into door frames or walls. My deep freezer was also damaged. My couch had torn upholstery, ripped seams, and crushed edges. The side shelf on my grill was broken completely off. The top of my dresser had stripped laminate and surface damage. Even smaller items like picture frames were broken. None of these items were damaged prior to the move; they were all in good condition. To be fair, the crew did move a few shed items that weren’t originally planned, but that doesn’t excuse the widespread damage or the lack of care used on the main items. What made this worse was how the situation was handled afterward. When I contacted Gavin, he initially said he would “make things right and work to some agreement.” However, he never followed through. He never once asked for photos of the damage, even though I had them ready and available. Instead, he later claimed he was “just taking my word on the condition before and after” of the items yet used that same comment to avoid accountability. For the record, everything was in good, undamaged shape prior to the move. It is not my responsibility as the customer to document the condition for them. A professional moving company inspects, notes, and documents items before moving them. They never did.Gavin also tried justifying the situation by saying the industry standard for damaged items is only $0.60 per pound. While that is the federal minimum coverage option, it does not excuse negligence. That rule only applies when items are handled properly and still happen to be damaged. The condition of my appliances, furniture, and personal items clearly showed they were mishandled, dragged, or struck against surfaces. The $0.60 per pound rule does not release a company from responsibility when their own negligence caused the damage.Communication dropped off, promises weren’t kept, and there was no genuine effort to correct the situation or fully acknowledge the amount of property that was damaged. I was left with multiple damaged appliances, furniture, and personal items along with excuses and deflection.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Transition Trucking to anyone. If you value punctuality, accountability, and care for your belongings, I strongly suggest using a different moving company.
