Lovely people with a wonderful business. I used their moving services to transport a leather couch and they delivered it within 5 days of purchase. (So speedy!) They’re also delightful to engage with and very responsive. Melanie kept me updated with same-day timing details so I knew when to expect her arrival. They’re also very gentle with their deliveries and mindful about packing things so they don’t get damaged. If you’re trying to decide on a moving company, I absolutely recommend these folks. They’ll move your stuff quickly AND make sure it all stay in perfect shape.

Finding a good mover has to be one of the top five worst things to have to do! I moved in 2016 from NJ to Charleston and I had the worst experience of my life! In fact, the company I used actually bullied me into taking down my review by sending me fake court papers! My husband got so concerned that he told me that I should take it down.
So, when I decided to move from Charleston to North Port, FL, I was beside myself trying to figure out the good from the not good movers. Then, I received a recommendation from my Mortgage Broker. He told me to call J & J.
It was the best referral I have ever received! They were fair in price, because I had already received quotes. They were $100 more than my lowest quote. They were kind, easy to go through all of the steps associated with moving and above all polite and caring! They assured me over and over again that they would take care of my things and my wallet. The last company I used charged me double the quote once they arrived at my house in Charleston and refused to unload the truck without that double payment! I was a hostage!
Ken and Kodi were amazing! They did everything they said that they would do! They honored their price, to the penny and again they were genuinely nice! In addition, when my stuff arrived in Florida, Melanie also joined Kodi to unload. She kicks butt when it comes to handling what seems to be a Man's job! She thoroughly impressed me! And everything came off the truck in the same condition that it was in when it went on the truck!!! Did I mention how kind they were?
Overall, the experience was day and night compared to my first move!

Do yourself a favor and start with J & J! I am certain that it will be a decision that you will never regret!!!

"I STRONGLY urge you to steer clear of JJ Moving Vans for your moving needs. My spouse and I made the grave mistake of paying months in advance for their services, meticulously planning a specific date for pickup and a designated weekend for drop-off. To our dismay, what followed was nothing short of a nightmare.

Despite their initial assurances, the day of the scheduled delivery turned into a debacle. We were informed that our belongings might not reach us for days, citing questionable weather conditions and other flimsy excuses. This was particularly infuriating as the weather on our end seemed perfectly fine.

The entire ordeal with JJ Moving Vans was a rollercoaster of unpredictability, unprofessionalism, and sheer frustration. They carelessly engaged multiple third parties without bothering to keep us informed, leaving us in the dark and at their mercy. To add insult to injury, we were left completely in the dark about the whereabouts of the truck carrying our possessions, intensifying our distress and uncertainty.

This experience with JJ Moving Vans was beyond disappointing; it was a disheartening display of incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction. Save yourself the anguish and seek a more reputable moving company that values professionalism and accountability." The frustration escalated further as we discovered that Arena Van Lines was the third-party company JJ Moving Vans brought into the mix. Despite paying in full back in October 2023 and planning our move to Boston for the end of February 2024, this collaboration turned into a logistical disaster.

JJ Moving Vans and Arena Van Lines, in tandem, failed to establish a reliable schedule, leaving us in a state of perpetual uncertainty. The lack of coordination and communication demonstrated by both companies was not only disappointing but also unprofessional.

Our prepayment and early planning should have ensured a smooth transition, but instead, we were left with the aftermath of their incompetence. When considering a moving company, it's advisable to steer clear of JJ Moving Vans and Arena Van Lines to avoid the unnecessary stress and unreliability we experienced.
