All six men on the move were great!! They were polite and respectful. When my wife tried to pick up their empty plates after lunch, each one of the gentlemen insisted that they take care of their own trash. There was great teamwork with all six. Ron Jones the move leader is a rockstar. I was a manager in business for over forty years and would have loved to have Ron on my team. Not once did he raise his voice when one of his newer teammates was struggling. He just told them to stop and put the item down. He then calmly coached him on the proper way. They safely moved every one of our items without damage to either house.
We had the best experience with two men and A Truck. Our crew, Ty, Mike, and Zach were excellent. We were moving our 94-year-old mother’s household into storage awaiting an assisted living room for her. This crew of movers was so kind and understanding. They were careful professional and fast. I wish I could give them 10 stars rather than five.
My experience was not great but it could have been a lot worse if not for the efforts made to remedy the issues. The movers were nice but unfortunately one of the movers broke two of the legs on my new dresser barely 30 minutes into the move. I bought the insurance thankfully and to their credit the movers told me immediately, processed the damage claim, and did not charge me for the time it took. The manager also called me and apologized and did everything he could to make the claim process quick and easy. It took a couple of days before they sent out a repair man to come and fix the legs which he was able to do quickly. The repair man was very nice and helpful. All that being said, it was an inconvenience and could have been a disaster if it was unable to be repaired since my style of dresser was out of stock permanently which would have left me with a bedroom set that didn’t match if they paid out cash rather than repair it. All in all, it wasn’t great but the efforts they made were sufficient to still get 4 stars. Unfortunately, stuff happens sometimes regardless of the moving company so it’s how they handle it that makes the difference. In this case they handled it well. The move was a fair price although I feel I should have gotten a discount given the issues. Otherwise,I don’t have any complaints. The movers were nice and quick enough and got the job done smoothly other than the one accident.
I hired the Charlotte Two Men & an Truck for my move to Port Orange, Florida. I had to secure a storage unit on the delivery side as I would not be going to Florida till a later date. Due to the way my things were placed (more like crammed) into the storage unit, several pieces of furniture were damaged. My mother was present during the unloading process and let me know she didn't think off of my things would fit into the unit, so I leased a smaller 2nd unit in case. I had told the crew that the 2nd unit was available if my things would be too tight in the original unit. They didn't use the 2nd unit, but crammed all of my things into the one storage unit, thus causing damage for several of my furniture pieces. This was discovered when the local Port Orange Two Men crew started removing the items. They pointed out each damage issue prior to removing the pieces from the unit, and took photos of each damaged piece. After delivery, I immediately reached out to the Charlotte Two Men and let them know damages had occurred and would be submitting a claim, which I did a few days later. I received an email from their claims department asking if my damaged items had been packed in the boxes by the Two Men Crew or myself. I noted that all of the damages were to furniture items, and not pack in boxes. I sent more photos. I also reached out to the manager of the Port Orange location to ask if he could be of assistance on my behalf. He was kind enough to call the claims contact to discuss my situation and claim. He was told that my claim would not be processed as 'my items were moved around in the storage unit after the Charlotte team completed and left'. This was certainly not the case, as I would not have been able to move anything if I had wanted because everything was jammed in the unit so tightly from floor to ceiling. Again I sent supporting photos and a final request for my claim to be processed, I included the manager of the Charlotte location on this final email. I have had no response. In addition to the damaged furniture (several pieces belonged to my Grandmother), the hardware was thrown into an orange juice bottle (not washed out) and when found, the hardware was corroded due to the orange juice at the bottom of the bottle. Also, I am missing quite a bit of hardware, so will have to purchase hardware before I can re-assemble those items. I generally only leave positive reviews, however in this case I needed to state my disappointment and frustration. If you are considering the Charlotte Two Men company for your long distance move, you may want to re-consider. My things were NOT handled with care or respect. The management and claims team has brushed aside my legitimate claim and have ignored my last emails.
Dangerfield and Mingo did an excellent job with the move. They arrived early and accomplished a difficult task with their team work and skill. It was on the 3rd floor that only had stairs and they managed to finish the task without any damage or problems. I would highly recommend 2men and a truck if I were to need someone to move our property.
