Great experience! Two of the guys drove from Chattanooga to my apartment in Nashville and had all of my boxes and furniture loaded onto the truck in less than an hour and a half. The next morning, they arrived right on time in Atlanta and had everything unloaded and moved into my new apartment just as quickly.Throughout the entire process, they communicated clearly, letting me know when they were en route, when they were nearby, and when they arrived. They were professional, efficient, and made what could have been a stressful move feel incredibly easy. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable moving company! ?????
Fox Moving did a great job. Got the truck loaded quickly. They toted everything up to a 3rd floor apt. They wrapped furniture in the padded blankets. They were friendly and professional. Done in about 2 hours. Would use them again.
We recently had a local move in Chattanooga. Overall the two young men on the crew did a pretty good job although they arrived 1.5 hours later than the scheduled time and we didn’t receive a courtesy call informing us of the tardiness. I have 12 years previous experience in the moving industry and I only have one observation that needs to be brought to the attention of Fox Management. One of the crew members wore very casual slip on sandals open in the back and this posed a safety issue not to mention he could have hurt himself, dropped, or broken personal property. Movers should never wear open shoes during a move because they pose severe safety risks, including stubbed toes, injuries from dropped objects, and slips or trips. Professional movers prioritize enclosed footwear like sneakers or work boots to ensure, stability, traction, and protection. Why Open Shoes are Dangerous for Moving:Lack of Protection: Open shoes do not protect feet from dropped heavy items, tools, or sharp debris.Trip Hazard: Sandals or loose-fitting shoes can shift, causing movers to stumble while carrying heavy, awkward items.Poor Traction: Open-toed shoes often lack the necessary grip, increasing the danger of slipping on slick surfaces.Recommended Moving Footwear:Closed-toe sneakers: Provide comfort, support, and necessary traction.Work boots: Offer added protection against falling debris and heavy boxes.Stable shoes: Ensure ankles are supported during lifting. For maximum safety and efficiency, movers and should always opt for sturdy, fully enclosed footwear.
I have used this company in the past but will never use them again after the most recent experience. We had a move scheduled on Saturday 1/24/26. Fox Moving canceled 20 minutes before our scheduled time on Saturday 1/24 (after assuring me their crew would be there when I called two days prior). They rescheduled our move for 9am Monday 1/26/26. On 1/26 they could not give us any ETA on when movers would arrive 1.5 hours after our scheduled start time. When I called on Monday at 9:15 I was told drivers were on the way and just stopping to get gas. Turns out they didn’t actually have enough drivers and no one was on their way yet so they just straight up lied after already cancelling on us at the very last minute Saturday. Both days I was assured movers would be there when I called the days prior. Our move ended up being delayed by 4 days. We ended up having to go with another moving company after Fox’s inability to keep their commitments for a time sensitive move. We went with Two Men and a Truck who gave us arrival updates and arrived on time, and they were able to help us with very last minute notice. I would recommend spending the extra money and go with Two Men and a Truck if you are considering a moving company. Fox over promised and was deceptive about what they would actually be able to offer.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! This was by far the WORST moving experience I have ever had. Ron overpromised and the fox moving team underdelivered. To start we paid for 6 movers, and we only received 3. Day 1 started with the packing team not bringing appropriate or close to enough supplies and really not packing at all just throwing my items in boxes as well as putting items in dirty trash cans and they considered that packing them. When I spoke to the lead packer about the way they were packing, he had a melt down and quit and then verbally assaulted me. He was supposedly fired. Fox decided to send a new crew back the next day to do all packing and moving in the same day. We still didn't have the 6 men we paid for which was quoted in the contract. Only 4 showed up and one had a hernia, so he was unable to do anything, so basically 3 men once again. They failed to get us moved out on Tuesday as was promised. They failed to wrap all furniture, mattresses and rugs as we were promised they would multiple times (mattress's were thrown in the truck next to dirty gardening tools). The crew was working until 2:30 in the morning and was unable to finish. Shame on the ownership for putting their workers in this position when they knew full well getting this job done in one day was an impossible task. My current home and the new home both sustained damage from the move, we have damaged items and a number of items that just went missing. In summary nothing was completed as promised and ownership made no apologies for the fact that they fell very short of the services paid for. They were rude and showed very little interest in customer experience. To address your version of the facts... I am not sure what your employees told you but most of your response is a complete misrepresentation. We were communication with your crew the entire day they were NEVER left not knowing what was going on. More importantly, NOONE EVER REFUSED to pay the bill, we asked for a discount for our troubles and were met with a whole lot of hostility. Jose also tried to charge us $500 for the overnight storage when the agreed upon price was $400 so your statement of you didn't charge is again not true. We were required to be out of our home by Tuesday and your third truck that was needed since you misquoted our move did not show up by 9:00am Wednesday morning as required it showed up more like 11:30, not exactly what I would call early morning. The new owners were trying to move in, and you hadn't finished moving us out. Lastly, your staff was leaving with our goods while we were trying to negotiate a fair price for this disastrous move. We nicely requested they stay until we could finish, and they refused which is how we found ourselves in that position. It's also important to note the police NEVER said anything of the sort about theft of services they actually told us we were well within our rights not to pay you and then everything would need to stay where it was including our goods and your truck while the court figured it out. As a result, we paid because we didn't want to deal with your unreasonable company any longer. Furthermore, the police stayed at OUR request while your staff finished unloading. I provided food and drink for your staff both days they worked and never talked down to anyone so that is also an interesting spin but whatever you need to tell yourself to try to make your business not look as bad as y'all really are!SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND STAY AWAY FROM FOX MOVING!!!!
