Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. With 3 movers, the move should have easily taken around 4 hours — my apartment was completely packed, all that was left were heavy items. the year previous (moving in) a two man crew did this in the same amount of time. which is when i got suspicious.my new unit was 20 mins away, and i said to them "ok see you soon?" i sat in the parking lot nearby and watched them leave. they showed up another 25 mins after me. once we arrived. the "foreman" closed the truck unless i paid for 6 hours in complete. i obviously rejected that because that's extortion and not industry standard ( you pay when the job is complete)i gave into the extortion (obviously, i wanted my stuff)I proceeded to watch them carry in one box at a time despite the elevator being 20ft down the hall.even after i agreed to the extortion, the foreman insisted it was “policy” and kept reiterating he was “just doing his job,” but also wouldn’t stop arguing with me. Meanwhile, the younger movers told me this happens often and that many customers end up arguing with the foreman over the same thing.Other issues:• TV was dropped multiple times• Footprints left on one of my storage bins — not a huge deal, but speaks to how items were handled• Visible damage on a $1,400 bed frame (almost as if it was dragged across a corner or dropped on pavement.• They also used their own supplies despite me having clearly set out my own, which I was later charged forI genuinely came into this expecting to tip well (I even withdrew cash in advance), but I can’t reward exploitative or unprofessional behavior. I’ve moved many times before and know what a respectful, efficient moving team looks like — this was not it.also, they were almost 3 hours late.I would not recommend this company and won’t use them again. hope this review saves even a few people. i have never been so disrespected before.
