My experience with moving out of state, from MO to MD was very smooth. The driver, Ed, did an excellent job of managing both the loading, with the help of two local men, and the unloading in MD also with local help. My belongings were handled carefully, with no problems or damage.I also appreciated the excellent support from Michelle in the MO Premier office.
The driver was friendly, very helpful, but a bit overwhelmed by the quantity we had to move.The packers at the Columbia end were very efficient, and quick. Their labeling of what was in some boxes and where the contents came from was not 100% accurate, to say the least, making it hard to find things at the Aurora end.The unloading team in Aurora was a big problem. They were friendly and courteous, to be sure. Several of them had detectable odors of alcohol or cannabis about them as they worked. They brought things in very quickly, too quickly, making it impossible to check each item as it was brought in. They were in too much of a hurry, leading to breakage of parts of several pieces of antique furniture, and major scratches of other such pieces. One set of scratches resulted from putting a cardboard box right on an antique table without any protective paper or cloth. They repeatedly loaded hand trucks with four boxes full of books, each probably 80 lbs, and then bounced those laden hand trucks down our stairs to the basement, thereby damaging the stairs, which are partially separated from the house structure.Overall this was an efficient process and there was, as far as we know with many boxes still not unpacked, without any complete destruction of anything, although as noted there was some damage which will need repairs. We appreciated the driver in particular.
