Very bad experience – poor communication between the estimator and the loading team, furniture damaged in transit, and the manager cussing inside the house during loading which was pretty unprofessional. At unloading, basically stacking items in a pile without communication which required hours and hours to dig through. Have moved many times for work, and never had an experience this bad. Recommend caution with this business, even though it appears others have had better experiences. Other items may have been damaged but not yet noticed. There was compensation for the furniture damaged noticed, but that took a lot of time getting the work done.
White Moving was recommended to us by the nursing home my mother was moving into 5 years ago. They did a wonderful job for her and now we have just used them for our own move. They exceeded our very high expectations: the people in this family owned business are personable, reliable and extremely efficient. On top of that, we felt the price was more than reasonable.
We have used White Moving and Storage twice in the last week. Once to move the majority of our household goods to a new home in a different city and the other to move enough of our household stuff to fill and apartment in the same city to continue working there. Both times, the timeliness, the care and attention given to everything and the speed at which they completed the tasks were excellent. We will not hesitate to use them again and to refer them to anyone who asks.
Mr. White gave me a competitive bid. A family owned operation, the movers were ten minutes early, moved fast and efficiently, and were courteous. They did not take smoke breaks, play on their phones, or waste time talking. They took apart the bed frames and put them back together in a jiff! Our move could not have gone smoother, especially when it was winter and 25 degrees outside. I would give them five stars, except one wood dresser got scraped and our stainless steel fridge was dented (looks like one of the moving straps may have pressed against it too hard?). Otherwise, super professional and fast. I would highly recommend White to anyone in mid-Missouri.
We hired White Moving and Storage to move one of our departments into another building on campus. David is very responsive to emails (he responded to our request for a bid within an hour) and was over to give us a bid within 12 hours of our original email. His crew was very professional, and took great care of all of our furniture. They disassembled and reassembled office furniture in different configurations to fit the new space. They completed their move in less time than estimated. We have already scheduled our next move with them.
