I had some issues with one of the employees that was packing up my truck. I was getting beyond frustrated.. so I called the office. Anastasia was soo sweet and took my issues seriously. She called the owner and he was at my house in less than 30 minutes. He crawled in the truck, fixed the issues and made sure everything I needed in that truck was in there. My experience started out frustrating but was quickly resolved and tuned into a positive experience thanks to Anastasia and Preston taking me seriously. I would highly recommend!!
I can’t say more praise for Marley’s Movers. They packed and moved my house from Albany to the Portland area and were so kind, respectful, and professional. Billy, Coyote, and Jessie were quick, hardworking, careful with delicate items, and made sure to treat everything with the care it deserved. They also offered to come and do a dump run for us (you forget how much trash you accumulate during a move!)Anastasia was quick to respond and took care of all our needs. Will gladly use them in the future!
Pros:- Amazingly quick and efficient at taking apart and putting back together furniture for moving.- You can tell that the guys enjoy working together.- They followed directions and communicated well between each other.- No hidden fees; just a flat hourly rate.Cons:- They don’t tell you this up front, but they will not move more than one box upstairs at a time for “liability reasons.” While this is probably a state law, it’s something they should make customers aware of (We had several small, lightweight boxes due to a shortage of large cardboard boxes being available).- Poor integrity. They scratched the wall of our new house while moving without telling us. They also popped my daughter’s inflatable ball while goofing around and didn’t say anything. It was only a $2 ball from Walmart, but still…- Their moving truck was not very clean. We had to clean dust and debris off our furniture after they were done.- They quoted me between 2-3 hours for the job, not including travel time, and it ended up taking them about 4 before we told them we would handle taking boxes upstairs ourselves.Overall, you could do a lot worse, but I would probably try my luck with a different moving company next time.
Never have actually used the moving service but the two gentleman who parked there truck behind my roommates truck and my car blocking us in waited in car for 10 min before for them to move and they never did terrible show of professionalism! And made me late to drop my child off for day care and made me late to work !
We have used Marley's 4 times; the 4th was the worst. We used them to load an ABF/Upak trailer. They were given a nice tip if they could load it in the least amount of space possible. BIG MISTAKE. Well over 75% of our boxes and totes were damaged some even obliterated. When a box says "fragile" it means just that. We had a whole tote and then some of blankets and covers just for the stuff which should have been covered. NONE of them were used. Some of the boxes we had we have had for years for the stability and strength. They were ruined. Thankfully most of the items in the boxes and totes were not damaged. However, the items which should have had blankets and covers on them sustained damage. These guys were NOT professional packers at all, and it showed. We have moved many times including military and DIY moves. The company we used to unload the trailer in TX noted it wasn't done professionally. It is obvious we will not be using them again. The person we always called to set up the appointment was amazing as always. We had to change the moving date for this move at least 4 times. The customer service in office amazing the moving service not so good.
