Highland moving came to our rescue at the last minute when our planned moving company cancelled on us one week before our move. We were very impressed with our whole moving experience from start to finish. Great care was taken with our possessions and the moving crews were efficient and friendly.
We had excellent service from our first contact with Highland to moving day. Arlene and the office staff were helpful and always available to answer questions and the movers treated our stuff like it was their own. Highly recommend!
We moved from Vancouver to Calgary in September, and it was a pleasure having Highland Van & Storage help us with our move. Our relocation specialist Arlene was wonderful to work with, provided us with a wealth of information, and quickly followed up with us regarding any questions and concerns we had. Many thanks to Robert (the driver), Noel and the loading crew in Vancouver, as well as Mike and the delivery crew in Calgary. Everyone was professional, personable, efficient, and well-organized. Our shipment was delivered in Calgary a few days later within the timeframe given to us, and without any problems or damage to any items. Overall, our experience was great, exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend Highland Van & Storage for any move!
Roland and Kudzi were amazing. Roland's skill in navigating a difficult driveway was impressive! They worked very hard to ensure everything was in place. Our fountain from Indonesia took five guys to move, and Roland's leadership for the team was inspirational. Thank you for the respect, humor and hard work that made our transition back to Canada so easy. We so appreciated Roland and Kudzi.
It is difficult to write this review, because we had two very different experiences with this moving company.We moved from BC to Ontario in August 2023. The two gentlemen who packed up our apartment in BC were absolutely phenomenal. They were efficient, pleasant to be around, and handled all of our belongings very gently. They were incredibly organized and when they were finished, we were so grateful that we hired a proper moving company. This part of the process was so easy and made us feel great about our decision… It was expensive, but it was worth it (or so we thought).Our good experience ended there. When the moving truck showed up at our home in Ontario, it was not the same truck that our belongings were loaded on to. I understand this has to be done to move long-haul across the country, but so many of our items were damaged during this process.Two gentleman showed up to unload, one of which was a slightly older gentleman who said he was just a driver… My husband and father had to help unload the truck because one person could not handle moving all of the furniture alone.These gentlemen were a lot less pleasant, and one continuously had to stop for smoke breaks (I.e. more than once an hour).It was disheartening to receive our items dirty, scratched, and all banged up… And when I asked them to document some of the broken items, they would only write down a few because the others “weren’t that bad” or they couldn’t prove that the damage was their fault.I give the team in BC a 10/10. The team in Ontario gets a 1. I wish I could recommend this company because we truly believed they would be worth the money, but unfortunately they were not.
