Both pickup and drop off of the pod were a great experience. We scheduled last minute and the pod arrived writhing 2 days or booking and made it across the country to our new apartment in 9 days. Matt M. was our drop off driver today and he really worked with us to find a spot in our apartment complex to place it and help us get our door open after our items had shifted a bit (no fault of pods). 10/10 experience with Matt, he was great to work with.
The drivers that delivered and Tom who picked up my POD were both very efficient friendly and knew what they were doing. They get a 10 out of 10 for their efforts. I would use a POD again to move.
We had an excellent experience with PODS. We moved from MO to WA and everything went exactly according to plan. All interactions with them on the phone and in person were friendly, professional, and they really make a point of confirming all details so that there are no surprises.After we filled the container and it was picked up, we changed our mind about the destination and they were able to accommodate that no problem. We ended up having it delivered to a Public Storage facility, where I had to be there to let them in and out of the gate, and that ended up being no problem for them.The 3-hour time estimate window they give you the night before delivery or pickup were all accurate, and they give you a call about 30 mins ahead of time on the day of. The only exception was the final pickup of the empty container. The initial estimate was 9:30am - 12:30pm. By 12:45pm I still hadn't heard anything, so I checked the status on their website and the estimate had changed to 11:30am - 2:30pm. Weird that I didn't get notified about that, but they did call at 1:00pm to say they would be there in 30 mins, so it all worked out.Both Roland who delivered the full POD to the storage facility and Craig who came for the final pickup were nice, and went above and beyond in dealing with the very specific placement the property owner had specified, which involved flipping the POD around so that the door faced the storage units and not a fence line :)The final costs were exactly what we had originally been quoted.The PODZilla device they use to get the POD on and off the truck is a great invention, and the drivers are pretty amazing at using it with precision.I highly recommend this company.
PODS has delivered to our site multiple times, and every single experience has been excellent. Their Podzilla system is incredibly well-designed for smooth, precise placement—even in tight or tricky spots. But what really stands out is their team. The drivers have always been upbeat, courteous, and extremely respectful—not just to their customers, but to us as the host property. They go out of their way to communicate, check in, and make sure everything is going smoothly. It’s clear they take pride in their work and in how they represent the company.Many storage locations won’t allow containers onsite, but we've had great success with PODS. The containers are only here for a couple of days, placed neatly in our parking area, and always picked up on schedule—or when there's a delay, they’re on the phone with the customer right away, handling it with care and professionalism. Their communication is top-notch. From start to finish, working with PODS has been smooth, reliable, and stress-free. Highly recommend!
Be aware the price they give you up front will not be the price you pay and it is not for your lack of trying to schedule! My wife and I booked a pod... it was easy to book. The pod was delivered and we started loading! Great! We were only moving 20 miles away, how hard could this be?!We measured all of the clearances and thought there would be no problem!After the pod got picked up from the house we were moving from, the problems began. First, when we tried to have our POD delivered, they gave us a delivery option that was 3 weeks out!!??!! PODS claims that you can get service FAST. Not true. Also, by having the time extend, PODS charged us for another MONTH!This was almost $500 dollars. This service claims to have a quick turnaround. Beware! That is not the case. We are currently in a dispute with this company.After all that, The most egregious part is that they could not deliver our pod to our driveway. Our driveway meets all the requirements listed on the website. Plus we had broken pieces of our driveway after they drove off the concrete with their dually. However, their equipment is not capable of meeting those requirements. We say that if their equipment cannot meet their own requirements, we should be entitled to a refund. We shall see how this drama plays out, but buyer beware do not order a POD. It would be much cheaper for you to get a storage unit and a truck. I wish we had just done that. Do not make the same mistake that we did.I am updating this review. If I could give them 0 stars I would. As of 12/17/2024 this company reached out to pretend to care about my poor review. They do not care about customer satisfaction and they are not interested in trying to fix the problems and over charging that they do. I would suggest staying far away from this service.
