The military seems to use them, I see them a lot and I am never impressed with them. I haven’t used them but they seem to force their presence onto me. My neighbors used them and while the entire street had no one parked on it, they decided to park blocking a driveway that 4 families share for 4+ hours right when kids were getting home from school and parents from work. I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to block a driveway, we had to drive over sidewalks to be able to come and go. They also had a dog locked in the cab that belonged to one of the movers in Summer time in California. These guys were also throwing their trash into my yard while moving in someone, blocking sidewalks with their trash, just everything was everywhere except for on the mover’s property. I take my dog for walks every morning and this morning there was an Atlas truck blocking the sidewalk. They have huge box trucks so I couldn’t see past it, but as soon as I stepped onto the road a truck came flying by and my dog and I were almost hit because we couldn’t walk on the sidewalk. If you want your neighbors to hate you then go for it, but this business is inconsiderate of everyone else around them.
So don't use this company if you want a fair deal or integrity. They'll quote you a lowered price and promise things like free storage and a free flight of stairs, but once they show up suddenly those things aren't free anymore, and also there's extra fees on top of it. Management will not respond to your inquiries about it. Plan to spend at least $500 more than what they quote you, or save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. Deeply regret hiring these movers.
Big creepy buildings with no windows or any form of exhaust system. Pretty sure somebody lives there too ?????????
This review is based on our personal experience.Atlas Van Lines coordinated our move from MA to CA in the middle of August. Once a request was put in online, an agent took down our details within an hour ( potential move dates, size of the housing etc). In about 24 hours a local moving company affiliated to Atlas Van Lines ( New England Household Moving ) contacted us, set up an appointment for a house visit and from there, things proceeded further ahead.Atlas Van Lines customer service was very professional and helpful throughout the process. Their Affiliates on both ends ( New England Household Moving ( MA) and Macys Movers (CA) ) were professional, efficient and timely.Their services won't land in the 'cost-effective ' category but they are worth every penny spent as we received our household goods with no damage and in the exact condition they were shipped in. Though the boxes had cosmetic damages ( torn on the ends/ sides) all our stuff was in good shape.Please do consider moving companies, movers and everything associated with the matter of relocation is a high stake risk, our risk paid off in the positive, you would end up having a totally different experience with the same company and the same people.
I viewed this company delivery furniture to a neighbor and was appalled at thier handling boxes. I literally stood thier and watched them roll a giant piece what appeared to be furniture from thier truck to the ground. I wanted to cry... They will not recoeve any business from myself nor anyone I know. A sad and disconcerting co.
