Best experience with a U-Haul company I’ve ever had. The U-HAUL manager, Tanisha, was great to work with, very honest and knowledgeable. We have rented from other U-Haul locations but this was by far the best experience. This will be our go-to location from now on.
TL;DR: This location rented me a very unsafe truck and did nothing to make it right after wasting 22 hours of my time trapped in the middle of nowhere.So this uhaul location rented me a truck that could have exploded. It had a check engine light, which I was told was of no concern, and being it was the only truck of that kind for miles... I accepted this. However, after about 500 miles of driving as I was moving from Rhode Island to Texas, I stopped for fuel for the third time. I was doing Load Share, so it was just horrible the whole way. I finally get to fill the truck to full thanks to the 100 dollar pumping limits... And then it spews gas everywhere under the truck. At the pump. 5 called tow companies, a night in a hotel with mold, broken things from movers switching our stuff from one truck to another, and a whole bunch of wasted time and gas in my personal car later... And we got back on the road. However, when the mechanic that showed up over 2.5 hours after we'd broken down took one look at the truck, he asked how it hadn't exploded. So yes, Uhaul rented me a bomb and then did nothing but string me along and give me little tokens of 'goodwill gestures' by refunding the 2 nights of hotels they added to my trip. Not the over 2000 dollars I paid to rent a truck that could have killed me. Nope, none of that. Avoid Uhaul at all costs.
