This company and the boss, Joseph are GREAT. Joseph was more than fair to his team and great working with me. He kept the team focused and led them well. I couldn't believe that he had water and food them. Never seen that before!So many of my over 30 moves I have seen movers exhausted and dehydrated. They go flat out with food water or breaks. Ridiculous and those other guys damaged my stuff. But not Smart Beaver Moving. Even when I through weird things at them, they collaborated, the Boss listened, and my stuff was moved safely.Best movers I've had in 40 years. Wish I had them before. Five stars ? all the way.
These guys crushed it! Came out twice because of an error on my side. The second time they showed up and helped pack what I thought was unpackable and in no way would fit - but they did it! Excellent job very happy wi the the service.
Arrived on time, and were professional, polite and extremely helpful. The movers were very careful with some of the more delicate objects and even helped us set up a rather large/unwieldly appliance that would have been difficult for us to do. Very communicative, and over all a great company. Would definitely reccommend!
What a great experience with this company. I was left stranded by another moving company that was a no show. Contacted u-haul and explained my situation and they put me in contact with Smart Beaver Moving. They showed up less than 2 hours after the initial call. Got everything moved out and delivered to the new address very quickly and efficiently. It was a pleasure dealing with the company and I would definitely recommend and use again. Give this company a try. The owner followed up with 3 to 4 times through the move. Awesome
Summary: Unprepared & inexperienced movers, lack of equipment, and poor company practices made for a frustrating and unprofessional experience.I want to start by acknowledging that the two movers who showed up were polite and respectful throughout. However, beyond that, the experience was extremely disappointing. It was immediately clear they lacked any experience and, more concerning, came entirely unprepared without any basic moving equipment.Earlier that same day, I worked with East Coast Movers in Saint John who charged less per hour, arrived fully equipped, and demonstrated professional knowledge and efficiency. The contrast between the two services was incredibly frustrating and highlighted the serious shortcomings of this company.What made matters worse was that I had to provide my own moving equipment, which the team ended up relying on and even had to guide them on how to move our items safely. I had made a real effort to be prepared, and instead found myself taking on the role of trainer and supplier.This isn’t a criticism of the individuals. They were courteous, but it’s clear they were sent into a job without the proper preparation or support. That failure falls squarely on the company. For the price I paid, the service I received was completely unacceptable and not reflective of what was promised.To make matters even more troubling, I was refused a receipt for the labor service and was told not to discuss pricing with the movers. An odd and uncomfortable request that added to an already negative experience.I strongly urge the company to take this feedback seriously and invest in better training and preparation for its staff. As it stands, I cannot recommend this moving service to anyone.
