I had a wonderful moving experience with Ahlgren's. I used their services 10 years ago so to use them again it was great to see they are even better than before. Dennis and Mark were very professional and took great care of moving my items. They even had the challenge of moving my items in an icy area! I appreciate them so much for being committed and getting the job done in a fanatic way!

Great service! Ahlgrens' team is all you will need for your moving needs. We had to move some massive palettes from our storage to our new home. These guys worked so hard, had all the pro tools and got our belongings safely to our doorstep. Professional and honest hard working family business. A pleasure to have done business with, will not be the last time we call on them.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this moving company and would not recommend them to anyone. Before the move, I was clearly told one pricing structure. However, after the movers arrived, the pricing method was changed without proper explanation or my consent. This kind of bait-and-switch pricing is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The move ended up taking 7 hours, which is unreasonably long for the amount of furniture involved. During this time, there was nearly one full hour when no work was done at all due to an elevator issue, yet I was still charged for it. The final bill came to definitely near $1500, which does not reflect the quality of service provided. During the move, one of my side tables was damaged. The movers themselves acknowledged the damage and reported it to their boss. Later, the company claimed that because the table was not packed inside a box, the damage was “not their responsibility.” This excuse makes no sense — the item was intact before the move and was clearly damaged during their handling and transportation. In addition, a shelving unit is now missing a screw, making it unusable for holding items. Instead of taking responsibility, they insisted the item was “not broken” and dismissed the issue as “just missing a part,” which is unacceptable for a professional moving company. Overall, the experience was marked by slow work, wasted time, damaged furniture, missing parts, unexpected pricing changes, and a complete lack of accountability. If you care about transparency, your belongings, and fair pricing, avoid this company. edited: I want to respond factually and clearly. I did not “demand more and more.” I raised specific issues after the move, including damaged items, missing hardware, billing concerns, and pricing changes that occurred after arrival. The $40 adjustment was explicitly stated as compensation for a damaged table. Compensation for the damaged lamp was later declined entirely. Regarding timing, while the move was from the 3rd floor to the 3rd floor, there was a significant period of billed time during which no work was performed due to elevator availability. That is a legitimate billing concern, not an emotional reaction. As for the comment about a “language barrier,” I communicated clearly in writing and followed up multiple times to document the issues. Suggesting that a customer’s understanding or language ability is the problem, rather than addressing the documented service issues, is disappointing and unprofessional. I shared my experience honestly, supported by photos and written records, so future customers can make an informed decision. Update : I am posting this single clarification in response to the company’s continued and misleading public comments. I did not change my move date “several times.” The move proceeded after the company proactively contacted me to confirm whether I still wished to use their service. Any suggestion that pricing discrepancies were caused by repeated date changes is inaccurate. I did not insist that furniture not be wrapped. I followed the movers’ guidance on-site regarding what would or would not be wrapped. At no point during the move was I informed that my items were inadequately protected due to my instructions. Multiple items were damaged during transport. These damages were visible immediately after the move, documented with photographs, and acknowledged by the movers at the time. The condition of the items after delivery speaks for itself. Attempting to reframe damaged property as a “communication issue,” attributing disagreement to a supposed “language barrier,” and labeling a customer as “obnoxious” in a public review is unprofessional and inappropriate. Such statements do not address the documented damages and only further demonstrate how customer concerns were handled. I am sharing my experience factually so that others can make an informed decision. I will not continue engaging in a public back-and-forth.
