To anyone considering Square Cow Movers: do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.I did my homework. I spoke with multiple moving companies. In the end, it was Square Cow’s overly confident answering service that convinced me to go with them. Big mistake. I hired them to move a large bedroom set from a second-floor bedroom to the garage—something I clearly communicated was not a simple task. I had over four phone calls, sent multiple photos, and explicitly discussed the risks and challenges involved. Each time, I was told everything was “in the notes” and the movers would be properly equipped with straps and the right tools.I even spoke directly with the operations manager the day before the move. He reassured me—again—that his crew would be fully prepared. He even advised me not to purchase additional insurance, claiming it was an easy job and not worth the extra cost. Then moving day arrived. The crew showed up completely unprepared. No straps. No proper equipment. Within minutes, they dropped the first piece of furniture, severely damaging it. The rest of the move was borderline reckless. The crew themselves admitted that Square Cow doesn’t provide them with tools or care about their safety—or the customers’ belongings. According to them, “Square Cow only cares about making money.” After my experience, I believe it.I filed a damage claim, and now I’m stuck in their slow, unresponsive process that may take up to 90 days to maybe—maybe—get a fraction of what the damage is worth.Bottom line: they talk a good game on the phone, but they have zero follow-through. The left hand has no clue what the right is doing, and they clearly don’t equip their crews to do the job safely or professionally. Their so-called claims department is a joke.Don’t fall for the sales pitch. There are better, more honest companies out there. Square Cow Movers is not one of them.
My apologies for the late review, my team consisted of Dallas, Tristan, and a true beast of a man Roberto! They helped me move back in the beginning of June, and while it was an overall easy move, these guys were on point, in perfect sync and even beat me to my location in their huge truck. Was happy to tip them to my surprise people don't pay in cash often for these services. Well they damn well deserved it especially hitting the 2 hour mark exactly!!!
Today Mr Steve, Chris and Roberto moved my family out of a 2200 sq foot home into our forever home. Our experience with Square Cow Movers has been professional, organized and friendly from beginning to end. I appreciate the southern hospitality of yes ma’am no ma’am. We also loved the fact that Mr Steve has been with the company for a long time. It reflects loyalty and a good company culture. Chris was so nice and personable- his talent in taking things apart and putting them back together- even electronics was greatly appreciated. Roberto definitely got his steps in going up and down the stairs, but still kept a smile on his face. I am so glad we entrusted our belongings to these gentlemen. They took great care in wrapping our furniture and graciously let me keep the plastic wrap to take to heb flexible plastic recycling. We highly recommend this team! I’m normally really stressed out about people touching my belongings- but they put me at ease with their professionalism and friendly personalities. I would 100% rehire them if we ever move again. Thank you Square Cow Moovers- Mr Steve, Chris and Roberto are assets to your company and we sincerely appreciate all their hard work and attention to safety. I’m happy to report zero damages! They were amazing!
Very satisfied with the services I received from Square Cow Movers & would use them again. We were doing a local door to door move. Steve & his team were very professional, easy to work with & very thorough. The team worked well together & were extremely efficient. I had 2 large pieces of marble that were moved without any problems. When they were finished packing, they did a walk around with us to ensure nothing was missed. When they had finished unloading, they went room to ensure each room was set up to our satisfaction. We had several boxes of items that they couldn’t move (toiletries, cleaning products etc.). They loaded & unloaded these boxes into our vehicles which was very helpful. There are several items which prevented me from giving Square Cow Movers a “5.”1) When we booked the movers, we were told that they would use any existing boxes we had. However, the movers only used 1-2 of these boxes.2). We had used dish pack boxes available they could use. However, they didn’t use these dish packs & used only small boxes instead. I prefer dish packs because you can pack more China into them & you use less boxes.3). They didn’t consistently mark boxes to reflect their contents. The movers who packed up the bedrooms did so. However, the movers who packed up the kitchen didn’t identify the contents. I ended up with 20+ boxes marked kitchen. This is making it very hard for us to prioritize unpacking & to locate certain items.4). Several items were marked with “fragile” in regular sized letters on the top of the box only. They weren’t marked on the side, making it difficult to identify which boxes are fragile when they stacked. Other boxes were marked “China” but were not marked as fragile or breakable.5). They don’t recycle boxes. I unpacked a couple of wardrobe boxes before the movers left & asked them to take the boxes. Steve said that they were my boxes & they couldn’t take them back to recycle or use again. When you’re unpacking, it gives you more room to get the boxes out of the way. It is also much better for our environment to reuse/recycle boxes & keep them out of landfills. I would have happy to use boxes that weren’t new as long as they were in good shape.
My wife and I are fairly new to the area and did a short distance move from our current house to a new one. I contacted Square Cow Movers received a quote on Monday but unable to schedule until Friday evening due to some unknowns. I called the Number and the woman who answered the phone was able to pull up my information quickly and went above and beyond to schedule a crew for the next morning even though we told her we could wait till the following week if it would be easier for them. The crew contacted me at the precise time they were scheduled for. When they arrived the three men who arrived were very friendly and professional. Eric took time to review exactly what I wanted done and addressed all of my concerns before starting work. Once the crew got started they expertly protected our belongings and carefully packed them into the moving truck. All of the while communicating with is about any concerns we may have. The unloading process when even smoother and they showed the utmost respect for our house and belongings. Todd and Joe were still in training but still show extra professionalism. They moved the furniture ofa 3 bedroom 2 bath house and had it unloaded in perfect condition in under 4 hours. We would recommend to contact square cow for any assistance you may need with moving.
