Practically the only positive thing I can say about All My Sons Moving is that the individual movers themselves were friendly and polite. Unfortunately, beyond that, this was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company.

I scheduled my move more than a month in advance and was told by one of the owners that I would receive a call from the movers around 11:00 a.m. on moving day to confirm their arrival time. I was also told by at least three different employees that the movers would arrive no later than 2:00–3:00 p.m.

I specifically chose All My Sons because I had an event that morning and needed a company that could accommodate a later arrival time. Another moving company I had previously used and loved could not arrive later than 1:00 p.m., so I selected All My Sons based on the assurances I was given. Looking back, I wish I had stayed with the company I knew because communication from All My Sons was consistently poor throughout the entire process.

When I never received the promised 11:00 a.m. call, I contacted the office around noon and was told the crew was finishing another job and should arrive by 2:00 p.m. When 2:00 p.m. came and went without any communication, I called again and was told they were wrapping up and would call when they were on the way.

By 3:00 p.m., I still had not heard anything, so I called again. This time, I was told the movers were on their way and would arrive within 10–15 minutes. At 3:30 p.m., after still hearing nothing, I called yet again and was informed that the movers had stopped for lunch but failed to notify the office. I was told they would head my way after eating.

At 4:00 p.m., they still had not arrived. When I called for another update, I was told their computer system showed the movers had already arrived at my location—which was completely false.

Finally, around 4:15 p.m., I received a call from Alex explaining that they were having difficulty accessing my street because of a police roadblock, low bridge and asked whether we could either pick them up or reschedule for the next day. Rescheduling was absolutely not an option. My dad was preparing to pick them up when the roadblock was removed, allowing the crew to finally reach my apartment around 4:45 p.m.

To their credit, the four movers worked hard and managed to fit almost everything into our U-Haul, leaving only two pieces of furniture behind. However, despite my parents bringing moving blankets specifically to protect the furniture during a 12-hour move, not a single item was wrapped or protected. Furniture was loaded directly into the truck without any padding, leaving me concerned about potential damage during transport.

While the company did provide a discount, it did not make up for the experience. The lack of communication, conflicting information from the office, and nearly three-hour delay from the promised arrival window completely disrupted my moving day and left my family waiting around for almost five hours.

Had the movers arrived closer to the agreed-upon time or had I simply been given accurate information throughout the day, I would have been much more understanding. Delays happen. Poor communication and misinformation are what made this experience so frustrating.

My parents have used several moving companies over the years for my siblings’ moves, and all of us agreed this was by far the worst moving experience we have encountered.

When we expressed our frustration to the owner, we were told that we should never have been given a specific arrival time in the first place. If that is the case, then there appears to be a serious disconnect between what customers are told when booking and what the company can realistically deliver.

I CANNOT recommend All My Sons Moving for loading or unloading services. The movers were friendly, but the company’s communication, scheduling, and overall customer experience fell FAR below expectations.

Easily one of the worst moving experiences I have ever had. The movers broke a leg off of our dresser, came to let us know they had broke it, and then tried to say that it wasn't really broken and could just be put back together easily. They had somehow ripped the attached leg off tearing all of the screws out through the wood, ruing the base of the dresser. How is that "not breaking it"? Also one of the movers was on his phone continually throughout the entire move, including when I saw him on multiple occasions sitting on my chair in the back of the moving truck on his phone. At over $200 per hour after everything is said and done those are extremely expensive calls he was making on my time. When he wasn't on his phone (he had asked to charge it with our charger) he was moving everything at a snail's pace, which I can understand being safe but this was beyond ridiculously slow. I eventually had to ask him to please get off the phone and help his partner and I finish loading the truck to which he then did get up and 'helped' load the truck with one arm while continuing his phone conversation with the other. It took 4 hours for them (and me) to load up the contents of a small 1 bedroom apartment. My partner and I had already done most of the moving, we hired them for the larger items mostly. 2 tvs, a couch, 2 dressers, 2 coffee tables, 2 small bookcase, a handful of boxes, and a cat tree. I moved most of the lighter items (boxes, small book shelves, cat tree) myself. This was an absolutely terrible experience and I could not be more disappointed.

I would highly recommend All My Son. We reserved with the Knoxville office. It was very easy to reserve and coordinate on size. They immediately gave me an estimate that was reasonable and ended up very close to the final. The team of 3 guys that moved me were polite and had a great attitude for the whole job. I was moving from Knoxville to mid-state. They got all the boxes and furniture loaded on the truck very efficiently and neatly, taking good care of my items. They listened and acted accordingly when I told them about family items that were important. Once loaded they left, arriving exactly when expected. On the arrival-side, they were equally great with my girlfriend and quickly took care of everything. Job done well, with great positive attitude and care. And reasonable pricing also. Use All My Sons!

We got a call the day of the move that our team was sick and they would be late. No big deal. We were set between 8 and 10 and they showed a little after 1. When we called, we had mentioned we would likely need 3 people for the job- the Booker said no 2 will be sufficient by description. The movers seemed nice enough, but clearly overworked. They didnt finish til after 11pm at night- worked the whole time. In addition they have to call at like 7am the next day to ask you to review them.

We reached out to the company after the move, to see if they would fix anything, but have not heard back. Our door frames were scratched up ,the floors were scratched up,multiple pieces of furniture damaged. We are having to repaint and fix things to list our house and our furniture looks like trash now. Chips on tables, Scratches all over one of our cabinets.

Update: This company will respond on here like they have concerns and want to fix things, but then when you actually reach out it's jumping through hoops, nobody calls back or follows through. Absolutely horrible company.

I had an excellent experience with All My Sons! The moving crew was professional, efficient, and very careful with my belongings. A special shoutout to our team lead, Thomas, who did a wonderful job coordinating everything and keeping the move stress-free. Thomas and his team was organized, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled properly.

I highly recommend Thomas and his team with the All My Sons team if you’re looking for a reliable moving company. They truly made the process smooth and easy from start to finish!
