Gouffon Moving and Storage did an excellent job with my move! They were able to get me added to their schedule quickly, the crew showed up on time, took care when packing my things and helped get everything set up exactly how I wanted at my new place. Very professional all around and would recommend them to all of my friends and family for future moves.
I will never use them or refer them to anybody. The manager listened to the lies his people told him and never consider the truth that actually happened. My favorite curio is gone. They do not want to replace the glass door they broke. When infact I warned them that the glass was loose that it’s better to take it out and the man said “Don’t worry, I’ll put some pads and wrap it around with tape or something. He didn’t do what he said and sure enough the glass slid and broke. Made some scratches to my newly painted walls and my new dining table all ugly scratch. They’ve done a crappy job.
They knocked down our internet and cable lines and dodged responsibility. The moving service itself was OK, but the after-care from management was a major disappointment. While exiting the driveway, the truck snagged and knocked down our internet cable, leaving us without service.Despite us paying for a package that supposedly included full insurance, the General Manager refused to take any responsibility. Instead, he blamed the cable company and cited DOT height codes rather than acknowledging his driver’s failure to clear the path. We ended up having to repair the line ourselves to restore our internet. If you use them, don't expect them to stand behind their service or their insurance if something goes wrong.
Gouffon moving is the absolute best I have ever used. They are professional and quick unlike other services I’ve’d used. The two guys that helped me today were amazing. It was Chase and some other dude. Very professional and very careful. I’ve had really bad experiences with other local movers. These guys were top notch! I wish I remembered both of their names.
I went with this company as I had heard good things about it. The reviews look good overall with only a few outliers. I had 3 moves over the course of one week. The first move went okay. Had some box damage, and I felt they were a little rough with my things. Nothing damaged overall. Just some scratches and stuff but not terrible work. The next day, went probably the best overall. The final move, they were nice, but one guy talked a lot. The other worked really hard. My tv base got damaged in transport. It’s an older one with a neck, not legs. I made a claim and they gave me knock off prices to fix it. I asked for $40 more than $60 as I felt like that would be fair as I wanted a base that looks right with my tv, but they did not accommodate that. The base I got is a knock off like they suggested but it looks stupid as it barely fits the tv. I didn’t bring anything up with them other than the base, which is kind of my fault, but I would not work with this company again. I will see if I can update and add how dumb the new stand (one they suggested with a link) looks later. I threw away all of the cards and flyers they left with my company as we will no longer use or advertise for them either. I’m sure the response email with be nothing but an excuse, but if I save one person from this, I think it will be worth it. Happy moving!Update. Pictures of the knock off stand they said would work but just looks dumb. It’s a centimeter from my tv touching it.
