Select Van & Storage Co.

I had previously written a favorable review which I am changing since we finally unpacked our items. We paid Select Van & Storage to "professionally" pack all of our household goods in Nebraska and paid an obscene amount of money for storage of our goods, cars and boats. Since our house construction in South Carolina was delayed and our storage time was exceeding the allowed storage time, we had Select Van & Storage move our items from storage in Lincoln, NE to temperature controlled storage in South Carolina. Once our home was completed, we arranged to move our household items with a Select Van & Storage recommended mover in South Carolina. Since we had not touched any of the items after they were delivered from Lincoln, we had no idea the extent of the damages caused by the poor packing and handling of Select Van & Storage in Lincoln, NE. Once we started to load our goods for movement to our home, we discovered the damages. We lost an entire designer bedroom set, king mattress, wooden office desk, custom glass frame pictures, ceramic cookware, grill covers, etc. We went through a claims process which was a complete joke! The claims reviewer wanted us to file a claim with the South Carolina delivery company, even though we found the damages before they were reloaded. Select Van & Storage in Lincoln, NE should be ashamed to treat their customers in this manner, especially considering the amount of storage fees and packing charges we paid. Their claims people having the audacity to blame their referred third party mover was completely absurd! As a former executive, my company had used this moving service for company moves. After this experience, I would never recommend Select/United Van lines in Lincoln, NE to anyone whether they are moving in state or cross country or down the street.

Showed up on time, very professional and respectful. Brandon, Martin, and Roberto worked very hard to make sure everything was accounted for and in working order. They were a pleasure to have in my home while they were continuously coming and going to get the truck unloaded and my items placed. They went above and beyond and wanted to do more than necessary to ensure ease on my part. Do recommend, use these guys!
