I had two stops before my final destination and this company was great at working through that with me efficiently and staying within their estimated quote and time. The men were professional and friendly and very helpful for a first time mover. Would recommend for everyone!
My husband and I used College H.U.N.K.S. for our move in Atlanta and had a great experience in 2020. Fast forward to last month and this was the worst moving experience we have both experienced. My husband booked and paid for both a packing and moving service. They originally quoted us for a single day, tried to change the timeline only a couple days before our move, then landed on adding more people to get the job done which cost us more. That was not ideal but all worked out until the actual move. They are not a packing service… although all the men were nice and respectful to us, not the same could be said about the condition of our property. They threw several expensive items such as a sound bar, our child’s scooter, speakers, etc. in a box unwrapped to get damaged. They threw things in a blanket and taped around it like it was a box and things were falling out. Almost every large piece of furniture we own was damaged including our one month old baby’s brand new crib, dresser, and chair. Not to mention all the small items like lamps, frames, and decor. They are all scratched and dented in several locations. They used plastic wrap with no blankets on several pieces which left furniture to get damaged and some not wrapped at all. There was grease from their truck all over our items as well and placed on our carpet. We asked for labeled boxes to be placed in rooms to later walk out to almost all boxes left in our garage. Additionally, when they assembled our bed set, they left bolts loose which could have caused severe damage or injuries. Our house that we moved into was brand new and they put several dents in doorways and hallways. Additionally, our old house was completely trashed. An excessive amount of leaves and dirt dragged all through the house, dings everywhere on doors and walls, black marks on carpet. We were the only owners in our old home of five years and never treated it this way. We had this company help us move into our old home and they kept it in great condition originally. This is not how you want your moving experience to go when you have two young children at home and were paying for the extra help and convenience. I reached out on the company’s website for a resolution almost two weeks ago and have heard nothing back on how to resolve this.
Seriously seriously over priced, poor service, careless movers. If I could give 0 stars I’d give 0 stars. The crew lagged the entire move, delaying the process. Including the recode to second location, gps 4 min from the first, took them 25 min to get there. They claim they got lost and had to stop for gas. All adding to the time I’m paying for. Once they arrived to the final location I was told the guy left the tools and screws for my items at the original spot, 25 min away. So they left without reassembling my bed and desk. When I went back to the spot to get the screws and tools, took was there screws weren’t. The kicker of this whole thing? They showed up to move me with no tools. When I had to go out for tools they either signed for themselves or had the guy there from my complex helping me sign for their CRAP version of insurance. Paid more for the insurance then they paid out for the damage. 1000s of dollars worth of items damaged. Items I’ve had in my family for 60+ years. Ruined. All to offer me 119$ because of the insurance “I” signed for. When the documents were sent over they did NOT have my signature on them. When disputing I was given a bogus story about how I told the guys I was leaving (to pick up tools they didn’t come with) an “agent” for myself with them to sign. What regular person uses that lingo?The person I’ve been communicating with via email has also significantly prolonged this process by well over a month. I’m now sitting with no response still waiting ong my reimbursement for their damage due to negligence.
Josh and Jaylen were incredible! They showed up right on time, were friendly and professional and so very kind to my 78 year old mother. Even the grumpy cat liked them! Thanks again and I'll be calling college hunks for my next clean out for sure. Very highly recommend.
Above and beyond!! These two gentlemen, and yes they were gentleman,were polite, on time and worked like crazy. We wanted to move all items from our crawl space and our attic and our backs would not allow us to do it ourselves. The team speedily and efficiently brought everything(there was lot) to our garage and placed them on shelves. So worth the cost and I cannot recommend more highly!
