Rick's Moving & Storage

Rick’s moving was able to get my over 2000lb safe in to a challenging step up entry. They did me a great favor of letting me deliver it to their address as it needed a fork lift to take delivery. They were timely and careful not to damage anything at install. It was set exactly where I wanted it and leveled out perfectly. These guys are a legit safe moving / install crew in the Rio Grande Valley. Rick himself was very kind and great to work with.

Although they helped us very quickly - same week to a new city almost 6 hours away, it came with a lot of headaches. My husband informed the size of storage unit, size of house 4bed/3bath we moved out of and Rick said he didn't need to see the unit or anything. He misjudged the amount of space we needed. Not only that, he changed the times/day of move on us multiple times and even called us the night before to tell us that he needed to start earlier in the morning unloading, when we told him the rental office didn't open until 10 am. When we pulled up to our new rental, him and his crew was unloading all of our belongings onto the driveway. Things getting scratched and scuffed. Our washer was cracked on the bottom from the dolly that was used and has to sit on a weight or else it leaks. Multiple items of furniture were scraped, paint scratched - I can load pictures if this is refuted. And they had us pay extra because of the extra men they had to hire to unload into our new rental. He called and said, "well it's a two story - you didn't mention that". Well. We were the customers and he has the responsibility to ask the questions he needs answered in order to price us appropriately. That's how our week went with this company. It was call after call, of changes/added information/trying to make it easier on them rather than easier on the customer. The only positives were that it was a cheaper option and they got us same week. But I would have gone with a different company had I known the headaches they would have caused our family, making a stressful quick move 10 times more stressful. The son owned up to the mis-steps so I wasn't going to write this review, but the more and more we have settled and unpacked our house over time and I saw how much was damaged, how our stuff was packed in the moving truck, I have grown to feel upset to the point of feeling like I should let people know so they can choose with more information.

Chetos and Juan are a great team!!! They worked very well together and are very hard workers!!! We are all still amazed how easy they moved a 600# safe??, guessing on weight, might be more!!! They know every trick in the book on how to maneuver through any obstacle such as steps and doorways!!! Way to go guys!!! Tipped them big, they deserved it????. We were vey happy with their professionalism and the care they showed for our items!! We will definitely recommend you to all our friends and family!!!

They charged me $1130 for a job they did not finish, they DAMAGED my furniture, they took apart my furniture and didn't build it back and tore my furniture, they did not load the furniture or boxes into the home instead just threw it in a garage (when it's just my Father who has a transplant and I). I brought all this to the owner with photo evidence and he had the audacity to still question the authenticity of my claim. Do not use them and if you do prepare to get workers who will try to hustle you, will goof off and not finish the job, who will damage your furniture and who will question you respectfully (words from the owner) cut your family down when they accepted the job, they signed up for the job they got paid for the job and we got in return horrible customer service, over charged, incomplete work and damaged goods. My dining table is not built that they took apart the counter top glass is missing too so I need to look for that myself, my sofa (that cost my family $10,000) is slashed and torn (I took before and after photos and the owner still questions me even when I have proof and I was the one there with the workers). Never again and never have I had to deal with something like this.
