On move day around the Dempsey area of Milton, they showed up on time, were polite, and handled everything professionally. They moved all my belongings from a fourth-floor apartment with no elevator faster than I thought was even possible. Watching them work was kind of impressive. They finished well ahead of the estimated time, which reflected positively on the final bill compared to what I expected going in. If you’re organized and have things packed properly, they don’t miss a beat. I also appreciated getting a follow-up call a day or two after the move to check that everything went well and nothing was damaged. That extra touch really stood out. Hiring Getmovers ended up being one of the smartest decisions I made during the move.

If you prefer a quick summary: I paid $2104 for a job that was left unfinished after 10 hours of work, multiple items were damaged, several pieces of furniture were left unassembled with screws missing, boxes were left soaked, customer service repeatedly failed to return promised calls, and management later threatened “legal remedies for defamatory or bad-faith interference” if my family posted honest reviews. After consulting a paralegal, we were advised that sharing our experience is fully within our rights.

Full experience:
The movers arrived at 12:40 p.m. and initially attempted to have me sign paperwork stating they began at 12:30 p.m., which I corrected before signing. They worked until 10:30 p.m. but left a large portion of the job incomplete. The entire ground floor, garage, and backyard were never delivered. Our dining table and dresser were left disassembled on the floor with screws missing. Two TVs were left on the ground, uncovered, in a cold and wet garage. A table and ladder were left outside. Several items were damaged, which is visible in the photos.

While the movers were still on site, I contacted customer service to report the issues. I was told I would receive a call back within 30 minutes to schedule movers for the following day (as we had to return the keys the day after), but no call ever came. All subsequent attempts to call went directly to voicemail.

The next morning, I reached support again and was told, “they’re pretty booked today,” despite the previous promise. I was again told I would receive a callback, which never happened.

Because GetMovers did not complete the job, we had to hire another company, Superior Movers, on short notice to finish the move. Throughout the week, I phoned GetMovers a total of 18 times across both their support and sales lines to ask about the missing screws and incomplete work. I never received a resolution or a single returned call.

In summary: I paid $2,104 for a move that was not completed, for damaged belongings, for multiple unreturned calls, and for a threat of legal action if I leave an honest, factual review. The situation created significant stress, especially with a hard deadline to return the keys the next day.
