Mid Cal Moving & Storage

BE VERY AWARE: Mid Cal Moving & Storage stole many, many belongings from my parents move from Modesto to Fresno. My parents are in their 90’s and they took advantage of them due to their age. Dad had his custom German HO Maerklin Train Build that he designed with bridges, train station, houses, cars, village stores, street lamps and people. Jerry took apart all the controllers, which were never seen again. This set is worth between $35,000 -$40,000, which is now unusable. My Dad is crushed because this collection started with my Grandfather from Hamburg Germany. Also, Dad had a Large and Small Car Collection of all the cars he owned in his life time, which took over 20+ years to obtain. Jerry the lead packer took them after my Dad reminded him not to for get his car collection that my Dad already packed in boxes. We later found out that Jerry gave them to his kids/grandchildren to play with. These were collectors items not toys for kids. When we spoke with him he said take me to court and he will comply with the outcome. There are so many items that we are finding out every day that that are still missing. This moving company employs thieves who are from Stockton and Modesto. The Manager “Charlie” told use the we need to resolve the issues with the drivers. This guy just doesn’t care about the thefts with in his company. DO NOT HIRE MID CAL MOVING & STORAGE - BEKINS. Another thing, Bekins does not take any responsibility for this moving company located in Stockton and Modesto. Also, Bekins does not cover any California moving claims. ALERT: Mid Cal Moving & Storage are Not Insured!!! *** They are also not qualified to move furniture due to so many broken items.They do not know how to take furniture apart and put back together again. RESULT: Your belongings that they break or steal are gone!!!

The crew by far was the best of any moving company I have ever used. Tag was the quickest by far of the movers I got pricing from. He accommodated short notice delay due to escrow problem. The field team was superb, efficient, and strong! They impressed me which is something for a guy who spent 49 years in the construction industry. Without hesitation I would recommend these guys. I had a separate moving crew moving equipment and tools out of the same building simultaneously. Both crews were respectful of each other and helped one another to speed things up. These guys are the real deal.

I have used so many different movers in the Modesto area the last several years. They we all rated between 4 to 5 stars! What a joke, they must have written their own reviews! You think you are saving money! But trust me you are not! They walk like snails & don’t know how to pack at all! So I finally decided to go with a bigger company thinking I would have to spend more money but willing to as I was so tired of dealing with these Mickey Mouse companies. I contacted Bekins Mid Cal moving. Charlie who answered the phone was very nice & professional! He sent 2 guys & a BIG Truck! These guys Victor & Steve were very professional & hard workers! They took their work very seriously & didn’t waste any time! They were very careful with our furniture & they actually cost less than all the other movers?? I can’t rate this company high enough ?? In fact I already have them scheduled for my next & hopefully last move in February???? Leona White

Movers did an exceptional job in packing and moving us. Items and furniture were handled and moved carefully, with no damage. Packers showed up on time and addressed my concerns as the move progressed up to its completion. They were helpful, professional, and courteous. Rates were reasonable and the Lead Person was knowledgeable in doing the paperwork. I highly recommend Mid Cal and would definitely hire them again.
