Awesome experience from start to finish. The communication was great from my first inquiry call. The team called in before the move several times confirming our appointment and were flexible with my change in timing. Darrius, Julian and Trayvon were prompt and professional. They took great care of my furniture and were careful not to cause any damage at all to my home when moving large heavy items. When challenges presented, they didn’t become flustered- they maintained their professionalism the whole time. Very happy with this experience and would definitely use again.
We had a great initial consultation with Jeff and, after considering a few companies, decided to go with College HUNKS for our family’s move. Jeff came to our home, reviewed what we’d be moving, and we provided photos, a detailed inventory, and the size of our local storage unit, which was also part of the move. Leading up to move day, communication was good and everything appeared well organized.Unfortunately, the execution on moving day was a major disappointment.While the movers themselves were hard working, friendly, professional, and careful with our belongings, it became clear very quickly that they had not been given any information about our move. They confirmed they came in “blind” — no inventory, no photos, and no planning for the fact that they were stopping at two locations before heading to our new home.As a result, they filled the trucks with the contents of our house first and then went to the storage unit, where they were unable to fit everything across the two trucks (one full-size and one smaller). This left a significant portion of our belongings behind at the storage unit on what was supposed to be our move-out day.We asked if they could return for the remaining items and were fully prepared to pay additional hourly charges. Instead, we were told we would be charged essentially for an entirely new truck rather than the hourly rate. With two young children and already in the middle of a very stressful move, we were forced to scramble, rent our own truck, and make multiple trips ourselves to retrieve the rest of our belongings.This move was not inexpensive, and having to pay additional out-of-pocket costs and physically move a portion of our items ourselves was extremely frustrating and disappointing — especially when it stemmed from what appears to be a misjudgment of truck size and a lack of communication to the day-of crew.We have attempted to contact the company twice since our move last weekend and have not received a response. We would appreciate someone from College HUNKS reaching out to acknowledge what went wrong and discuss how this can be made right
College Hunks moving did a great job moving our daughter to her new apartment. The crew was incredibly professional. Arrived right on time and had everything moved quickly. Best decision we made in moving her to the apartment. Would definitely use again and highly recommend them for others.
We definitely had two of the hardest working guys for sure. Rob and Charlie were awesome. The move itself was seamless. Very easy to set up, pay online, good contact ahead of time so we knew they were coming. They were efficient and careful with our items.My only issue, which is sort of out of anyone’s control, is the cost of the move. Since we didn’t know how long it would take, my move wound up costing double. We might have been able to have a better estimate if we had them come on site (which I think was an option). That would be my only recommendation - try to get as accurate an estimate as possible or consider that you will be paying a lot more.
Steve and his team, Josh, Joe, and Olim were fantastic! We were moving stuff from one house to two and they handled both stops with ease. The houses are older with weird angles and quirks and they managed to navigate everything easily. Would definitely recommend!
