TALO helped me move from Nanaimo back to Victoria, and the day went very smoothly. They arrived right on time, walked through the house with me to ensure that they had packed everything, and the invoice was identical to the quote. The guys were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them, and use them again.
The experience was horrible. The driver advised he would arrive at 10 am in Vernon from Nanaimo.He showed up after 6 pm in the dark. He called multiple times to say he was lost. He was given clear directions on which driveway to enter but ended up having to back out.My stuff was thrown in the back with other moves going to Alberta while my possessions were getting dropped off in Vernon BC. The driver tried to unload a dresser with the drawers in it and it fell to the ground.My neighbor and I witnessed it. There were 20 boxes of items vanished! No explanation except maybe it will be in the other contents will check in Alberta. Will drop off while driving through Vernon- sends a text found one item- continued to give a song and dance he would drop off the item.Finally he answered a text would send the item out by curiour. I received no response it arrived 2 and half weeks later slashed.No accountability from this company. Horrible customer service and avoids all reimbursement for all the loss and broken items. This company should not be in business period. Run away from hiring them. Horrible is an understatement. This company is NANAIMO Based! If you look up your customer base you will see it was delivered on January 19th. I believe you will find my name. I can't believe the review below. Time to report to the Better Business Bureau. The response below is a blatant lie. I have all the texts to the driver and multiple emails to the owner. Who just denied it was a customer. Unprofessional at its finest!
Justin and James were both outstanding. They arrived right on schedule, took the time to reach out prior to arrival to confirm everything which I found reassuring. They demonstrated remarkable punctuality, efficiency and professionalism. What stood out was the extreme care and respect they showed towards our elderly parents who were moving from their long time home. This Company came highly recommended to us by a friend and having experienced their service firsthand, I can certainly understand why. Move was super quick, in two hours.I had concerns with quote which was at 6-8 hours advised office that would only need movers for a few hours, was advised move would me minimum 4 hours charge which worked for us. I also had advised office when booking parking a large truck at new location would be challenging.Saturday morning received call at 7:33 from James that they would arrived in 15 minutes, showed up in time mentioned was actually earlier then 8:00am, this allowed us time to show what needed to be moved. Also mentioned with James truck may not fit at new address, was assured they would make it work. Ramone and James loaded truck in an hour and we were all done in just two hours. We all were very happy with this, was reminded there was four hour minimum I agreed and was aware. It was good communication for our short time together.Take a Load Off did a great efficient job. Really took a lot off stress off moving for us. I was so happy with the boys we tipped them.They were both awesome.
