Great Movers and Storage live up to their name. They are professional, courteous, easy to contact and booking was easy. They charged a flat fee rather than hourly so no hidden costs afterwards. When my closing got delayed they were very accommodating too thankfully. I would definitely recommend them! My foreman Eric and his partner were ver my nice. Worked diligently and got the job done !
Great movers were fantastic! Excellent communication throughout, including during the booking and planning processas well as the day of the move! We moved into a third story walk up with wooden stairs that had just been refinished. Kanat and his team were superefficient, careful and professional. No damage, everything neatly situated. And they were lovely to deal with. These guys did a wonderful job - we would definitely recommend Great Movers and hire them again for any moving needs!
Moving is a LOT. Finding a moving company? Even more so. Between juggling calls, quotes, and reviews, the truth is I just want someone kind, understanding, careful, and positive. That's exactly what I found with Great Moving. They were one of the only companies to continue following up after our initial call.Saad the service rep was wonderful. He assured me the movers are employed by Great Moving (no day-jobers), that the company was legit and insured (I read about some horror stories with other companies), and was even able to secure me a binding quote! No hourly nonsense.I was anxious the morning of my move, but the crew was there EARLY and got going right away. Fabio, the leader of the crew, was so kind, fun, efficient, and caring. I was happy to make his day easier with organized bins, clearly labeled, which definitely helped during the unloading. At my new apartment, they even took the time to unroll my carpet and set up my bedroom! He asked where I wanted my headboard, where I wanted my furniture, and then improvised with a pretty great eye for design. When Fabio and his crew left, it looked like I'd lived there for a week already. It was so grounding. I feel very lucky.OH! And showed me photo after photo of all the people he's helped move. "You're my 500th move!" he told me. WHAT AN HONOR. What a lovely and dedicated person. The whole move took under three hours. I'm so incredibly grateful and would 150% hire them again. I highly recommend Great Movers! Call Saad for a quote and ask for Fabio to lead your move! Also, highly recommend putting in the work to be packed and organized. It makes everything so smooth!
Very negative experience in terms of professionalism and communication. While I appreciated the crew for their labor, several of my items were damaged throughout the process. My $400 office chair arm rest was completely snapped off and the movers tried to hide it by taping it together. My issue is that if they knew they broke it, it’s dishonest to not mention anything to me at all and act like nothing happened. Additionally, the lead mover was very aggressive at the end of the service about leaving a tip… this was my first time moving and I was not aware that tipping was a norm. He continually pushed me to tip, and when I explained that I can only tip a certain amount due to my moving budget, he got visibly frustrated with me and argued that I should be able to tip at least $300.At the end of the day, tipping is not required, especially if my stuff got damaged throughout the process, and it’s unprofessional for a service provider to try to enforce tipping as required. I paid the company, the company pays the employee. Anything else is a courtesy. I should not feel like I am being “held up” in my own home.I am seeking a $400 reimbursement from the company for the damaged office chair which now has to be replaced. Very disappointed.
It was a wonderful experience from the start! The team was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. I can’t find enough words to appreciate David and his team! They were so careful with all our belongings that if I knew I wouldn’t have to pack my fragile china as much as I did, at the same time very fast. The truck was very clean and very well organized. In addition, the price was discussed and there were no any additional surprises! I highly recommend them!
