We are pleased with the service and professionalism of Atlas Van lines. Our possessions were professionally handled and wrapped. Joe the driver was very helpful and cooperative. I would recommend Atlas Van Lines.
This trans-Canada move started out okay. The packers really did not seem to want to be there. Loading was very stressful. The off-loading crew were very pleasant and hardworking. They pointed out issues with some of our items and took pics of the obvious ones. These were to have been given to their office. When it came time to make a claim we were asked for more pics, and the item that was destroyed was discounted from the claim as we had no pic. One large item was discovered to be unusable. One of the crews noticed the damage somewhere along the line and put the broken pieces into a drawer. We could not easily access this item as it was surrounded by boxes. When the claim was put it, with pics, it was disallowed because the crew made no note of the damage. I am now out hundreds of dollars because of no pics taken on delivery. I am glad that we are not planning any more moves, and these guys will never be hired by us or given a recommendation.
Initially had communicated issues wrt delivery dates.Moved provinces and did not take possession of our new home until 6 days after load.Took a length of time to receive contract to sign. Dealing with the office was the most challenging part of the entire move.Loading/delivery crew (2 people) very efficient. All items were wrapped. Our belongings were treated with respect. Very good with communication.Payment is based on weight. The company uses AI for calculation of initial cost.Yes I would recommend this company.
They caused close to $2000 in damage and denied all of my claims except one which was an extremely expensive toolbox the movers took apart, after being specifically told not to,and ruining the bearings. They offered me $200 for replacement parts off of amazon. I made all of these claims within one week of moving and was told that, “I should have inspected better.” I had to fight for 2 weeks for them to even offer $200 on the toolbox.
Worst experience ever!!!The packers just threw everything in boxes without a care, they used my patio umbrella because it was a hot day and smoked under it, they ended up burning holes in it!!! I didn’t notice until days after my move and the company wouldn’t help me, no one in my family smokes!!They damaged walls when loading and when delivering. The delivery truck driver told me again and again as he saw all my damaged items to make sure I keep a note of it all and take pictures so I can claim it online, he even showed me where to go online. When I submitted my claim Atlas denied my entire claim because the driver himself didn’t write anything down. They lost items and because I didn’t notice right away it’s my fault, but unless you were going to use it right at that moment who remembers every single item in their home???They refused to acknowledge the lack of damage as noted on their documents on my furniture when loading and then the significant damage upon receipt. They simply stated the driver didn’t note it “I signed for delivery too bad”Will NEVER move with Atlas again!!!BEWARE!!!!!
