Had a team come out today to load items into mods and they were spectacular! Devon, Yay, and Jared were very professional and helpful. They immediately identified a problem with my estimation of how many mods I needed and I was able to order additional mods. They carefully padded and wrapped my furniture and packed the mod like a jigsaw puzzle. I couldn't be more pleased with their professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy. This is the third time we have used All My Sons and will definitely call them again when the need arises! Thank you team!
Had I read only a few reviews, I would have been forewarned of the disaster that lay ahead. I can not express enough how much stress has been added with hiring All My Sons. A team showed up, we signed the documents, and they started their clock. Just after, I received a call from another team saying they were on site, but didn't have the apartment number. I told them another team just arrived. The drivers communicated the mix up.The team was very young and one stated this was his first time paking a kitchen. They showed up wore out and stated that ours was the 4th set of stairs that day. They all moved very slow and were extremely inefficient. They broke our baby dresser and dropped our expensive couch in a grease spot in the driveway. They didn't move the bed frame because they didn't have the tools to disassemble, when the company states they can disassemble beds. Turnes out they only need to use their fingers to unscrew the nuts. In the time spent, they left half of the tiny one bedroom apartment unpacked and unmoved. They charge by the hour, and it shows. The youngest of the team was very polite, while the oldest (the driver) took smoke breaks and put the cigar out in the planter pot we use to grow our tomatoes. The youngest saw it and took it out. They charged us till 9:30pm while they finished at 9pm. After contacting the company, they gave us a $161 refund for the smoke breaks. We still have to file the claim for our broken dresser and couch. After charging nearly $1,000 we were left more stressed out that the job wasn't finished after paying so much. Do yourself a favor and hire friends for $150 for the day to move your stuff. We learned our lesson here and will never be using All My Sons in the future.
I had the most nightmarish experience with All My Sons Movers. Two guys came to move my stuff from my apartment to my house. First of all, they said, per company policy, that they could not unplug the hoses of my washer and dryer (no one had mentioned that to me from All My Sons when I initially contacted them) but they could do it for me “on the side”. So I had to pay the guys $50 on the side to unhook the hoses. Then while loading my stuff onto the truck, one of the guys got stung by a bee so he no longer could work. So there was a long delay of waiting for another guy to come to replace him. By the time that the third guy came and finished moving my stuff to my new house, It was over eight hours. When it was time to reassemble my son’s bed, They realize that they lost the screws in the tools that go with the bed. They said without the tools and the screws, they could not reassemble my son’s bed back together So they apologize and just left the whole bed in pieces (see pictures). They also left two dressers mirrors disassembled. When I called the corporate office to complain about all this, I was told to click on this link to file a claim. When I click on that link, It tells me that I will be receiving an email within 24 hours to fill out the claim. However, I did not receive anything in the next 24 hours. I emailed back to let them know that I did not receive anything to file a claim with. I wrote them three emails to let them know that I need to file this claim and no one responded to any of my emails. They also ended up not deducting the $100 that I had initially paid them from the final charges So I ended up having to pay them $100 more. This was the most horrible And unprofessional service And I would never recommend them to anybody.
My movers, Everett and James, arrived right on time and set to work immediately after we did a walk thru and an assessment of the items to be packed and moved. As soon as we met, both men offered smiles and warm introductions. They wrapped, packed, transported, loaded and unloaded everything with utmost care. They were professional, efficient and quite fun to be around! Communication from the company before the move was good and it was never a problem getting any questions answered. The cost was quite reasonable, especially for the quality of care I received. I highly recommend All My Sons for your moving needs. If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll get Everett and James! Please tell them I sent you ??.
As a business owner, I understand that mistakes happen, and I always aim to give companies the chance to show integrity when things go wrong. I’ve extended grace to others many times. However, my experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage showed no such respect or accountability. This might actually be the first bad review I’ve ever written. Here’s why:1. Grossly OverchargedThey charge by the hour, and their team acted like it. They sent three young workers to my house, none of whom seemed capable of lifting anything substantial. They wasted time goofing off, and I frequently caught them on their phones instead of working.I was initially quoted $700 by several companies for a short 10-mile move, but I decided to go with All My Sons, thinking the job would only take a couple of hours. The final bill? $2,200. And they didn’t even complete the move! While I had more to move than expected, this was far from a full day’s work to justify the cost.2. Bait-and-Switch TacticsI specifically confirmed before booking that their team could remove and reinstall a door frame if needed. When they arrived, I was told they couldn’t handle the door, disconnect or reconnect appliances, or move a significant portion of my belongings for various reasons. What’s the point of hiring a professional moving company if they can’t handle basic tasks like this?3. Broken BelongingsIf you have anything of value, DO NOT let them touch it. They dropped and shattered my Big Green Egg grill, along with my grandfather’s antique lawyer bookcase. The Egg is replaceable, and the bookcase is repairable, so I initially didn’t make a big deal of it. But their response was insulting—they offered less than half the value of the grill as compensation. The Bottom Line:After adding up the cost of the move and the damage they caused, I’m out nearly $5,000—and I still have to move the rest of my house.I cannot stress this enough: AVOID this company. Their advertised values of being "Comfortable, Affordable, and Fantastic" couldn’t be further from the truth.A Fair Note:To be transparent, I will mention one positive. My closing date was rescheduled several times, and they were flexible and accommodating with their scheduling. Unfortunately, that’s the only good thing I can say about them.
