Just completed a cross town move in Orlando with 1776 Moving & Storage. This is our second time moving with this company, this time with Jimmy, James & Isaac.

They were efficient, hard-working and friendly and the price was more than fair for the job. The best part about using 1776 is that you are hiring a local family owned company with a great reputation for service and patriotism. They proved it again this weekend and I'm grateful for the hard work and efficiency!

I wanted to leave a 5 stars because Jimmie and his crew were personable, they took our move last minute because of previous movers truck issue and could not move us. Sometimes having a great personality does not always benefit the situation. The start of the move was good with excellent flow, and they were supe fast to empty out our 3 bedroom home. The problem was going to the new home. First, sadly one of the drivers hadn't eaten so they wanted to leave to go first to get drinks and food before going to the home, that took 30mins or longer which cut into our time. It is a new townhouse so they went by the street a couple times, more time. Then when they arrived time ticking, the start of unloading was good, but then started issues because of the stairs, which i stated multiply times there were stairs. Because of the time ebbing away, my husband, my two sons and my nephew helped with moving boxes in the house, they carried mattress, set up mattresses, moved heavy boxes. Apparently, they do not take a part beds that have electric bases and kitchen tables, that job my husband took apart with my son and got ready to go onto the truck. There was an extreme heavy vanity that was given from a family member that they could not put upstairs. My husband took the top off the vanity because it had screws and my sons carried the vanity upstairs and set up.. Jimmie stated they went 45 mins over because of the heavy items, interesting he said he took off for the materials which by the way we had couch wrappings, furniture wrappings that Jimmie said he could not use because it would slide. But if they used what we had, there would not be a charge for materials, what about the 30 or so minutes it took to get to the new home that was 6 mins away. I have on my phone the time i called the office to see where they were and phone went to voicemail. In all we paid movers to help us move but we helped in the moving. Is there compensation for our family helping with the move oh and yes we tipped because i felt it would've been an issue if we didn't. They are extremely kind hard working, movers, greet personalities but time management is not one of their finer qualities. my husband sons and nephew were not expecting to help with move. They did help and I along with my sister help with moving chairs, boxes into the home because as Jimmie stated the time was up at 12:30. Frustration because there was another moving company that had emailed me late the evening before but i missed it and they would have charged us $896 for 4 1/2 hours that included materials., trip/drive fee and fuel. Well, l learned by lesson. Next time I should've been patient and held out. Started as a good experience but in the end frustration, we still had to set up, move boxes. It felt like I hired my cousins to move and it was a good time but we still helped with moving even though we paid them. Sorry but we will not use this company to move. Maybe to a barbecue, but not to move.

I had a great experience! Shay and Alvin were right on time but I was late. They were very forgiving of my lateness, my not entirely organized packing. They were efficient and quick, very polite and friendly. They worked hard even though neither end of the move was air conditioned so it was HOT! They did everything they could to keep my cost to a minimum, even though I underestimated the number of boxes I had. I highly recommend this crew and the company. Sales process with Jimmy was smooth enough. I was hopeful about the delivery when they came to pack up my home and found Dave to be personable and handled items with care. He even assisted with repairing my bed I didn't realize had broken. However, when it came to the delivery, the crew was hours late without notice and would not wear booties, place rug runners nor remove shoes on my brand new carpet despite confirming before delivery they would. Said it was a safety hazard. We do not wear shoes in the house and were left with debris from the front door into every carpeted room upstairs. In the end, I have a dining room table with two smashed corners, dinged dinging room chairs, a broken bedroom dresser, and more than 20 boxes clearly labeled to be taken upstairs were left in the garage for me to sift through and carry up myself. Two whole shelving units were left wrapped in plastic that was never removed. Sadly, they were more concerned with making up the time they'd lost being late than finishing the job I appropriately. I was not asked to take a look around but did state, more than once, there were a bunch of boxes in the garage to be taken upstairs. However, they left while I was talking to the cable person! I left a message at the business when they had not arrived that morning, but no on reached out. Would not use this company again.

First I just want to give a HUGE shout out and appreciation to Alvin and Shay!!!! They were absolutely amazing! They were so sweet, respectful, genuine, kind, down to earth and absolutely went above and beyond to help my roommate and I with our move! I could not have been more grateful for their help! We had an issue with moving our couch into our place because of how the doorway was set up and Shay and Alvin made sure we would be able to get some of our couch moved in and Shay with his quick thinking thought of a way that would usually take 4 guys total to do but they went above and beyond and did it with just the 2 of them. My roommate and I could not thank them enough for their hard-work and going above and beyond to make sure we got a couch into our new place. This company is absolutely amazing! Caring, honest, genuine, great pricing and amazing hard workers!! HIGHLY recommend this company!!! Thank you Alvin and Shay!!! ??????
