Predatory bait and switch tactics. I gave information that I needed a piano moved and sent a picture. No one told me it would be a MUCH higher fee than advertised. It was a $465 flat fee for a piano (any piano....and mine was no where near as large or heavy as a grand piano) PLUS a $50 heavy item fee for something with a flat price that is known to be heavy. I would have looked around and found someone else. I needed it moved then by the time they came and told me the real price. I am a widow trying to get things taken care of after my husband just passed away and this was more than I can afford but by the time I found out it was too late to do anything else. When you are dealing with short timing and emergency situations you do not always have time to send someone away and find another solution. You are stuck paying what you cannot afford because although they had the information about the item beforehand .....no one gave me the more expensive price until I had no choice.BEWARE of this company's predatory practices.
College Hunks to the rescue!After receiving a delivery of one very big, very heavy piece of vintage audio gear (a 32-channel recording console in a road case, appx. 700 lb) with no advance notice and no way to actually get it *into* our house, we called up the College Hunks for help. They showed up within an hour of booking the appointment, and the two young gentlemen who assisted us were fast, efficient, and incredibly sweet. Highly, highly recommended!
There price are reasonable and it’s so easy to set things up for them to come and pick up stuff. I use the junk removal feature that they have. They came and got a couple old sofas. They were super friendly, easy to work with and showed up on time.
I booked with College Hunks to help move stuff from my old storage unit to a new storage unit, and would definitely book them for any future moving needs!
