We had a move scheduled this week and it turned out to be on one of the coldest days of the year. The high that day was 1 degree! Alejandro and Joey arrived at the scheduled time and ready to work. They were very professional, polite, accommodating, and hard working throughout the entire day! Our move was not a normal household move but a vintage collection of large and heavy items that needed to be moved with care. Alejandro and Joey were wonderful! They took care in moving every item and when the items were brought into our house and downstairs, they were careful not to scratch the walls or damage the items, which was difficult to do because of the size and weight of the items. We highly recommend Two Men and a Truck - Peoria and especially Alejandro and Joey! Thanks!
I was quoted by Michael, and it seemed straightforward initially.When the pack and move occurred, there was poor communication, deceptive time tracking, and refusal to acknowledge issues with service.Things were said by Michael, different things by the packers, then different things by the office and the movers.Furniture, packed luggage, and items that were on the pack list were not moved, despite written and verbal confirmation. Movers sat in truck for at least half an hour of the billed time, and likely more as I went ahead to the new home and wasn’t present for the entire move out of the packed up home. Michael claimed they had tried to call me about the missed items while I was preparing the destination - the movers didn’t mention this when they called to say they were on the way, nor in person when arriving, and my call logs don’t show any missed calls or texts, and I had good reception for the duration (Verizon in Chillicothe).We’d used other franchises of the company without a need to supervise the pack or move services with excellent results in the past, and relatives had used this franchise once some years ago without issue.This experience with this franchise was not good, and if you do hire them, I suggest watch them closely and documenting every issue and concern.Addendum on 1/28/26 - I’ve made several calls and seem to keep getting ignored despite the response to this review, asking me to call in. Something like 4 or 5 tries in the last week alone, never mind in the days immediately after the move.Ironically, one of those calls got me Michael again, the agent who had quoted me, then ghosted me when I mentioned the issues.Frankly, I’m not sure why this can’t be handled via email given the difficulty speaking to anyone who can provide an actual resolution.

We recently completed a move with Two Men and a Truck and our experience was very good. Alejandro (Alex) Plata, crew leader, and the crew of Joey, Jacob and Jeremy went well above what was necessary to get us moved. Even though our move ran longer than expected and it started raining, our movers stayed pleasant and positive until the last piece was safely placed in our new home. I highly recommend this crew of great guys!
We hired Two Men and a Truck when we realized that we were in over our heads trying to move 2 theater seating style reclining sofas from our garage to our living room. We called and they got us an appointment next day, which was incredible. Jacob and Jeremy were incredible - super friendly and professional, and got the couches moved where we needed them, with zero damage. They were quick too, completing the job in less than 20 minutes. So grateful and will not hesitate to recommend and hire again.
