Using this moving company is a nightmare! I made an appointment with this company in September to help me move a few large items, such as piano and sofa, at 2 p.m. at the end of the month. But at 7 a.m. on the day we agreed on, I just received an email from them saying that one of the drivers was injured and couldn't go to work , so they have to cancel the booking, cannot help me to move. But on this day, I had to move out of the old house. In such a short time, I couldn't find a moving company again. This company made me feel desperate! I called Jessica many times. She verbally promised to help me and said that she would try to find another moving team. She kept saying that someone would come to help me move at four o'clock. At four o'clock, she said that another team driver was unwilling to help me to move, and she had no choice. She just did it, which made me feel frustrated and helpless! So I must tell my experience to avoid other people being treated and troubled in the same way!
Brian and Ricky did our move, and both were great to deal with. Very friendly with my girlfriend while I wasn't there, and very helpful when getting to the new house, even stopping to move some of the things left in the house. Fantastic people and great representatives of the company.
I have dealt with many moving companies in the past, mostly in the USA and one in Canada prior to Bekins being hired for an across Canada move. What I would say is read your contract, know the approximate weight of your items as nothing is set in stone until your load is weighed once packed and ready to be shipped. Our Bekins quoter Benny went above and beyond to make us comfortable with the process and as he experiences many times we changed out minds about what to pack. His quote was spot on, but we had been careful to allow for a 10-20% increase based on weight. I monitored the packing and unpacking and every step of the way everything was handled as I expected. Our main driver Jared was there from beginning to end and incredibly hard working. No items were damaged. Be ready to E-Transfer prior to delivery, don't wait be proactive in part of the process. I will use this company again without hesitation.
Super friendly and nice staff from the receptionist that phoned me to book a drop off time for my washer and dryer . As well the delivery drivers both were great and professional , went through everything with me from opening the items checking for any damage . Moving everything to my laundry room fast and accurate no issues at all will definitely be using them again .
Bekins moved our 4 bedroom home yesterday, from the start Catherine was very helpful and always available during the quoting process.The moving team Jayden, Charles & Autumn were fantastic!
