Our family had a pleasant experience using Mountain Movers for our local move from Reading to Wyomissing. Mike and his crew are top notch and would recommend them to anyone. This was our first time hiring a moving company and we were hesitant with other people handling our belongings. They wrapped all of our furniture nicely and even provided wardrobe boxes for free for our hanging clothes. We had many questions leading up to the move and they were very responsive. They are responsive, and communicate efficiently. The crew were on time, and operate with purpose precision and care. I used these guys this week to move me from a townhouse to a ranchers. They were absolutely awesome. I have used other companies in the past and did not have a good experience. Everything with this company went super smooth. Everyone was on time and very pleasant. They worked like busy little beavers. They were done with the whole move in an hour and a half. Even helped me unload my car. Hope I never have to move again but if I do I will definitely use this company again.

I recently hired them for a local move. Everyone was pleasant and respectful, so that was great. The price was also very competitive. However, in the process of the move a $600 grill was damaged, an $800 mower (which was supposed to be left at the old house for us to move, was labeled as such and all movers were told to leave it during the initial walkthrough the day of the move) was also damaged. Deep scratches were left on a dresser and a night stand. Our patio umbrella was torn as was the grill cover. I had bought moving mattress bags for the move. When my husband was trying to put them on, he was told to not worry about it, they would take care of that. That mattress was moved without a bag. When I notified the owner of the problems he did come out to take a look which was great. The grill was missing a screw which would fix a lot of the problems, but it didn't fix the dents left in it from the move. About the mower, he said it's bent but that shouldn't affect function. I did state that it was not bent prior to the move. And he said "yeah well a flawless move every time is impossible and nothing is actually broken." The scratches in the furniture are too deep to sand out and he just said he didn't know how that happened. He just kept coming back to the grill needing a screw and then it would be "fixed." Then left. So overall everyone was pleasant but if you prefer attention to detail, this is not the company for you.
