Lilly and her team, D and Andre, were amazing. They are extremely efficient, friendly and courteous. They took excellent care of our items. Will definitely use them again if we move!!
Lily and team were absolutely great! They put up with all my asks and last minute “remembered things” and help me significantly decrease my anxiety inherent to this colossal international move.Thank you, guys, and have only friendly winds for your “sails” ??
??????????I had an outstanding experience with Dunmar Moving yesterday! From start to finish, Joe, Vincent, and Kay were absolute professionals — on time, efficient, and so pleasant to work with. They handled everything with care and made the entire move a pure joy (which is saying a lot for moving day!). I can’t thank them enough for their hard work and positive energy. Highly recommend this amazing team!Adam Foster called me twice during the day to ensure the move was going well!
Go With Anybody BUT Dunmar-I do not know how Dunmar has such good ratings, as mine was the WORST experience ever.I recently completed a move with Dunmar that began in Louisa County VA in July 2024 and ended in May 2025 in Arizona, including leaving my belongings in storage for 6 months. My experience with Dunmar was not just my worst move experience (I've moved 9 times in my adult life), it was the worst experience I've had with any company, ever. I had to ride every person involved in my move like a pony. This includes the salespeople, the move coordinator and accounting. I needed updated estimates twice during the process due to changes in destination. Each time, I had to contact the salesperson multiple times by phone and e-mail to get updated quotes. Each time, I would not get responses, or I would get a promise for a response by a certain date, which would never happen. I would end up calling the move coordinator, getting no help there, then asking for the office manager, not getting the office manager, and finally getting the updated quotes right before I needed them. I would literally have to be begging them for the paperwork before I got it. (The office manager never called me back; I suspect the staff never gave them the message.)I had the same issue with the move coordinator once I had a move location and a moving date. I had to call multiple times asking for the arrival window so I could give notice on my rental. As for the Accounting office, every month, I would have to be the one to call them and ask for my storage bill, and each time it would take several contacts to get my business transacted. The salesperson, the move coordinator and the accountant all turned over during the time my belongings were in storage, and each time I only found out because my e-mail got bounced back. I guess I should be thankful they put outgoing messages on their e-mail when someone leaves the company. The packing crew left a lot to be desired, too. First, my office furniture re-assembly was delayed because they didn't inventory the parts box, so my desk hardware could not be located by the delivery crew, and I had to wait until I found the hardware in my boxes. (I work from home and was working at my dining table while I waited). They did not fill the box voids with paper on any of the boxes--it's a miracle that none of the boxes were smashed. They tossed glass frames in a box without wrapping, alongside very heavy computer accessories that were not wrapped and ended up breaking through the box (see picture). I don't know how the frames didn't break. Instead of putting my lamp shades in styrofoam peanuts and filling the box (which I discussed with the salesperson), they put them on their side in a box with no packing (see picture). In short, I cannot recommend Dunmar Moving Systems to anyone, and I would hesitate to recommend Allied, as they clearly do not monitor the performance of their agents.Caveat Emptor
Lily and Andre did an excellent job packing our home. They were on time, handled everything with care and were very neat and efficient in their packing. I highly recommend them and the Dunmar Moving team.
