My experience with Mayflower Moving- warning to others!! If you are contemplating a move, I suggest extreme caution on selecting Mayflower Moving. We recently used them for a cross-country move and found the local sales staff extremely helpful and cooperative. They were great helping us prepare for the move and flexible with storage and delivery dates, which was important as we ran into construction delays getting into our new residence and had to change dates several times. But things went downhill fast when our belongings were delivered. Numerous pieces of furniture were damaged, and many objects were broken. One piece of wood furniture looked like they dragged it across a cement floor. Lamps and numerous glass and ceramic pieces were broken; in fact, the delivery driver told us a box marked fragile (lamps were in it) had exercise weights on top of it (of course the lamp was broken). Exercise equipment (treadmill and elliptical) that we paid extra to have dismantled and reassembled were damaged as were our outdoor bicycles. Initially, while upset, we weren’t worried as the move included their Mayflower Option 2 Package – supposedly the Gold Standard Proception Plan, which said things like if part of a set is damaged and can’t be fixed, they will replace the entire set and equipment that was in good working condition before the move will be in the same condition after the move or it would be fixed or replaced. All that sounds good, but good luck trying to collect on it. Months have gone by and we’re still trying to get answers on how they will resolve the issues. The plan requires disputes to go through an arbitration process, so when I asked how I initiate that, I was told I can’t until they finalize the claim and there is no telling when that will be. In the meantime, we sit here in our new residence with damaged furniture, a big corner of the garage filled with broken things they said we shouldn’t get rid of until settlement and equipment that doesn’t work. If you’re looking for a good moving company, I’d move right past Mayflower!

Clark was so easy to work with in getting my Mother in Law moved. Mike was great at explaining everything, was able to get us scheduled in a short time frame and the two movers were friendly, careful and professional. A great experience all the way around!
