I needed a large heavy medical exam table moved into my new office. Sheridan Brothers Moving was very easy to schedule. They showed up on time. There was a fabulous feature where they sent a text with a GPS link to their location. I knew when the team was going to arrive, and where they were in transit. The item was delivered promptly and efficiently.
Many of our belongings are now unaccounted for or were destroyed during our move with Sheridan Brothers Moving in Rochester, NY. Their pricing is higher than others but they had availability with short notice so we decided to go with them.To put it nicely, their movers leave much to be desired. Only a 2 man crew was sent when there was supposed to be 3. We had a FULL 3 bedroom house. One of the movers was doing most of the work, and the other was stopping numerous times during the move and going back to sit in their truck. He was stumbling and acted as though he was high the entire time. He didn’t say much but when he did, he was slurring his speech. The unprofessionalism of the movers was appalling. Our new bed was torn and TV no longer works due to careless handling by Sheridan’s movers. Not only were there issues with countless other damages, the final bill was nearly $800 higher than the quote! After the move was finished, numerous items were discovered to be missing. I was there when they were loaded onto their truck, but they never made it to my new home.Sheridan Brothers Moving has been completely unresponsive to our claims of damages and lost items.Do yourself a favor and allow ample time to find a mover. I’m sure there are much better options in the Rochester, NY area.
I had a wonderful experience with Sheridan Brothers movers. They were timely, polite and worked quickly & efficiently. The crew handled everything with care and professionalism. Their pricing was very reasonable and they were reliable from start to finish. I would highly recommend this moving company . Thank you
Sheridan Brothers Moving Company has been absolutely outstanding to work with. Jen is truly amazing—she goes above and beyond every single time, not just for me, but for my clients as well.I’ve personally worked with Sheridan Brothers on over 12 moves in the last year, and they have never once disappointed. Every move has been on time, extremely professional, and handled with true Grade A service from start to finish. As a Realtor, reliability and professionalism matter, and Sheridan Brothers consistently delivers at the highest level. I recommend them with complete confidence to anyone looking for a smooth, stress-free moving experience.
?I hired Sheridan Brothers Moving because they provided perfect service during my last move a few years ago. I was looking forward to the same level of quality, but this experience was the complete opposite.?Despite giving them every opportunity to make things right after the move, management has ghosted me. Here is why you should look elsewhere:?At least one crew member was found smoking pot during the move, it was a very noticeable odor and he at one point had a blunt in his mouth while carrying our stuff to the truck.?The crew complained the entire time about the amount of stuff to move and the audacity that we had stairs at both houses.?They took a 30-minute break to go to 7/11 during a drive that takes 5 minutes between the houses, I had to call the office to figure out where they were.?They refused to move my treadmill into the new house. Without taking a single measurement, they claimed "it won't fit" before even taking it off the truck and left it in the garage. (we measured, there was solid clearance even fully intact, but they also advertise that they will disassemble exercise equipment, if needed, on their website and our invoice and they were aware of the treadmill/where it needed to go from the initial quote)? They refused to move my grill to the back deck, claiming it wouldn't fit through the door and then refusing to take it around the lawn. They just shrugged and left it, so my wife and I had to move it ourselves.?They left items behind at the old house without checking with us, just got in the truck and drove away.?They left outdoor items in the middle of my driveway instead of placing them along the side of the house as requested.?They damaged our walls, trim, and a hallway door. They dropped our freezer on our stairs.?Instead of using straps to lift the freezer, they slid it across concrete in the basement.?They broke the wheel and door on my grill. I caught the lead mover, Joe, trying to secretly replace the wheel without telling me. When I asked what happened, he ignored me, then left the damaged door on top of it for me to find after.?Carpet protectors were only put down after they had already tracked dirt in, and only on the first set of steps.?I was charged for 6 hours. The invoice shows 4 hours and 45 minutes. If you then deduct their 30-minute break, they worked a total of 4 hours and 15 minutes.I sent detailed emails regarding these issues and photos of the damage the same day. I received one reply from Sandy apologizing for the experience and stating the issue was forwarded to the Office Manager, Jennifer Sheridan, this was on 12/9. Since then? Silence. I have never heard back.?I tried to handle this privately and give them a chance to fix it, but they clearly do not care about repeat customers. Do not hire them.
