Alex Moving Company and Storage of San Bernardino is ok however, I was not impressed in the least little bit. The sales agent made promises to us and that communication would be key in the move process. This was not the case. Our move from California to Florida was stressful to say the least.
We did all the packing to where the loaders came out for the California part was ok. The we found out the Drivers for North American Van lines changed somewhere during the move.
Once in Florida the unloaders for North American were not the greatest ever. The driver Todd was the only one I would give a 5 Star rating. He took charge of the situation, handled the paperwork, Found missing items and shipped them to us (which I am very impressed with). The unloading of the furniture and moving of boxes instead of 2 guys we got three guys that showed up at our home. I will not go into detail about the experience there but will tell you UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE were we liable for tipping individuals when making a large purchase move. This was number one red flag for me. The Driver handled this matter in a very professional manner and I have to applaud him.
The furniture that was taken apart in California for the Florida move was not put together fully in Florida. We had to put all the other Furniture and tell the Movers in Florida how to put things together.
Damaged Furniture from move. I took photos of this and sent to ALEX MOVING COMPANY and STORAGE sales agent we had and was promised that we would receive a link to report damaged Items. This was not the case as no link was ever given to us.
The day of our move in was hard as it was when the loaders for Florida were bringing items into the house that were not ours and trying to leave them here.
This experience was not at all pleasant and I will never use This company for any move whatsoever.
COMMUNICATION is key and vital to anyone moving and when this break down in Communication is missing this will leave you wondering why? What happened? Why was I promised one thing and then nothing that was promised given.
BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!!

I moved from California to North Alabama last week and things could not have gone any easier. Alex Moving was excellent. Raquel handled everything. She was through and clearly communicated everything every step of the way. I truly hope that the owner realizes what a great asset she is to the company. Additionally, my driver Elliott was amazing. He also kept me in the loop on delivery. He was very thoughtful with my belongings and efficient when packing a storage unit. Raquel and Elliott both represented Alex Moving and North American extremely well.

Raquel seems to be an issue at this company. I had an appointment scheduled and no one showed. When I called to check on what was happening she said that I didn’t confirm the appointment when no one had called to even confirm the appointment. I asked if she had left a voicemail she said no but I sent a text. No phone call was received, no voicemail and not a single text. When she said we can reschedule I canceled because of communication cannot even be followed through I’m not going to trust them with every single thing I own while moving 2,220 miles across country. While this may be a great company, Raquel is damaging the name and the plenty of other bad reviews against her shows proof to that.

I contacted six (6) different moving companies for a quote. Of the five who sent someone who convinced me they knew their business, Alex appeared to be the best quality at the best price.

When the movers and drivers arrived they began moving boxes like a whirlwind. Not in a reckless way. They worked hard all day. I was amazed having moved before, with other companies, to see this much hard work. They communicated to me throughout the day and even let me know when they took a lunch break. As hard as they were working and as fast, I was thinking they deserved two lunch breaks!

When the truck arrived at our new home, they were again impressive with their speed and effort. They never stopped moving and never slowed down. They had us moved into our new home in record time. Nothing broken!
We have moved multiple times in the past and this was a shock to see such a high quality team! I want to thank David, their driver and the movers. I would not only recommend them to everyone, I would use them before using any other moving company!

While Jose the driver and his assistants were great with our stuff and helpful, the office lacked organization and communication. One the first day (after packing) we received a phone call asking if we were ready to receive our stuff. Which was impossible due to us moving across country! But the gentleman called back and explained the mistake. Next time I called the office to get a better estimate on when we would receive our stuff. First the quoted a date AFTER the window of delivery. After I had said that wasn't the contract that we signed, he said he would call back and he did and told us that our stuff would be delivered the last day of the window in the afternoon. This later became the following day. But what really made this ridiculous was the Friday before the estimate day of delivery they asked how we were going to pay. We told them our employer was paying and that they already have the information. They said they would call back and NEVER did. Still haven't gotten a call 2 weeks later. We tried calling back, left a message. We tried to call on Saturday and sent an email trying to figure out what to do about payment. The driver said his bosses were telling him to get payment from us. We had to scramble to get credit cards for payment. I feel customer service was lacking. The managers should have called us directly instead of sending the driver text messages and putting him in the middle. I would not recommend Alex Moving and Storage for the lack of communication, organization and leadership!
