Several customers mention smooth communication and courteous movers. There are also critical reviews citing damaged items, higher-than-expected costs, and challenges with claims or follow-up. Overall ratings reflect a mix of strong experiences and some dissatisfaction around pricing and damage resolution.
Julian and Sammy did an excellent job moving all of our furniture and belongings for the installation of our new carpeting. They are professional, courteous, smart and highly efficient! I highly recommend Redlands Moving and Storage and Julian and Sammy. They disassembled and reassembled everything with great care and made our experience seamless.
Julian and Sammy did an excellent job with our move. They were on time, friendly, and efficient with their time! I was impressed with them and their company.
Very poor experience by Redlands Moving & Storage. Movers took no inventory. They did not perform a walkthrough with me and left a drawer full of items. I felt rushed on the day of moving, and they were unprofessional. I paid 6k to move an apartment worth of stuff. They destroyed two televisions and refused to help with the costs of replacement. When I tried to call to report the missing and damaged items, I was told it was not possible, and she stood on that until she started yelling at me. I spent a lot of money to get the piece of mind and decreased stress of moving, and I received the opposite. I strongly recommend against this company.Addendum:Price was paid for a decrease of stress and ease. The stress was increased for 6,000 dollars, and if I had to do it again, I would gladly move on my own. When I first spoke with the lady who coordinated the move, I was promised the world that I need not worry about anything and everything would be taken care of. That elderly people specifically use them because of how much they pay attention to detail. From the owner's response, it is very clear now that there was no truth in the promises given to me.The owner of this company is flat out lying in his response. The lying and gaslighting will give you an insight into the customer relations of this company. I asked for a copy of my agreement and was never provided with the contract that I signed.I was NEVER notified or warned about professional packing. I would have packed the TVs myself if I knew that they took no responsibility. The claim that I packed the TVs myself is not the truth. The cost of these TVs was 450 and 2,000 dollars. They both had value, and even if I did say I didn't care about a television, its does not give permission to be careless with it and let it be known that unless you pay extra, your TV will arrive destroyed. I did not find out about these options until the owner wrote about it in the response to my poor experience here. Again, please provide me with a copy of the contract I signed.Imagine paying 6,000 dollars to move a few items to be told that it's your fault that they rushed you, that they took no inventory, they left items behind, and that they destroyed property. To add insult to injory, there wasnt many items to be moved in the first place; maybe 20 boxes, a bed, two TVs, and a desk. In acknowledgment of this fact, they still missed items they specifically stated they would include, and the TVs were damaged.Imagine being told that because there is no recording, the inappropriate behavior didn't exist. The lady litterally apologized to me the next day. Imagine being told that their mistakes are due to a lack of planning on your part. Does this sound like good customer service to you? Dont get duped like I did.A week prior, another moving company moved our entire house, The company (Cobra Van Lines) took time to explain the process, went over the price and paper work, did a proper walk through, took inventory and boxed and moved literally 5 times the amount of things safely and for 10,000 dollars (refer to his claims that they were doing it for cheaper). All moved to the same place. They were professional, and our possessions arrived safely.Go with another company, like: Cobra Van Lines. If things go wrong, this Redlands Moving & Storage knows how to cover their mistakes and will blame you for them. Worst of all, take zero accountability. Finally, this reputation that they spent decades building will quickly erode if they continue their current course. There is an audacity here and self gradiosity that they are above reproach, that if something goes wrong, it must be because of the customer and their decisions. Wow.It's seems that when their hired employees make mistakes, they have no procedure to rectify the situation beside blame the customer and refer to the fine print. Be very careful of what you sign and demand a copy of it, I AM awaiting the contract that I signed, and I'll happily post it here when received. If you do not see them, they do not exist.
We hired Redlands Moving company to assist in a move for a five bedroom, four bathroom house in May of 2024. If you are considering using this moving company, please be aware that they will charge you extra if you do not pay cash (so have at least a few thousand extra on hand for a big move because they will underestimate the amount of hours your move will be). Also, be aware, if they damage your stairs during the move, they will not repair them (it will basically be your problem) and if they damage your furniture during transport because their straps break, they will tell you to file a claim with their insurance company but then will stop responding to emails about reimbursement. The movers do not take proper care to avoid damaging property. I added pictures of the damage to our furniture and our stairs ( they chipped multiple steps and completely demolished one of the stair nose moldings) so please read what you sign, they absolve themselves from damages on almost everything. And that which they do claim they will cover , they don't actually follow through. We had a very poor experience with this company and would give 0 stars if we could. I would hate for anyone to go through what we went through in dealing with this moving company. In response....let me be clear, our house was well prepared and we had our small items packed in small boxes and large items were wrapped in bubble wrap as well. When their movers arrived, they even commented to us how much they appreciated how well prepared our home was for the move. We are not the moving professionals and rely on the professionals to assess our home and make a reasonable time estimate, which this company did not do beforehand. Their four guys, though very respectful and nice, consisted of one "new guy" who stopped every few minutes to gather himself or talk and who basically stopped working at the end of the day. The reason why the unload was faster than the load is because my husband and I felt pressure to unload as well, because the move was taking so long.During the actual transport, they packed all of our fragile boxes up high within the truck and then when their straps broke, all of our fragile items fell down on our furniture. I emailed them several times regarding these issues and they DID NOT PROMPTLY answer my emails. It took this review to get them to respond with their last email. I did point out in my review that if you decide to use this company, read what you are signing....I just wanted people to be aware of how much they absolve themselves of, when things go badly, as they did in our case. They told me my claim could take a few weeks....we are in the third month and I still have not recovered losses for my damaged furniture. Do not let them fool you, I was willing to work with them but they were not interested and now try to put all the blame on me, the customer. Shame on them. Beware.
Griff & Josh did an AMAZING job moving all of our stuff from one apartment to the other. They were timely, quick moving, and very kind with open communication. My husband and I have never used movers before but are blown away at the experience we had. We will definitely be calling to use this company again in 2-3 years when it’s time to move to a house. 10/10 recommend using this company and these movers! :)
