These guys did a phenomenal job at unloading my 26 foot UHAUL truck. They moved quickly and efficiently to unload all of my belongings, including some very heavy pieces. Highly recommend!
Marvin and Kelly were hired to help load our U-Haul truck and get everything from 2nd story apt to the truck. Very quick, efficient and knocked it out in the 2 hours we booked.
Words cannot describe how wonderful of an experience a special touch has provided for us. We did not think the amount of stuff we had was going to fit into our 20ft uhaul and not only did the movers fit everything but they did it with mindfulness, organization, care, and functionality. They also had the best music choice and were happy and upbeat the whole time which helped ease our moving stress. Thank you guys so much! I will absolutely be recommending this company to all my friends in the Savannah area.
I hired this company on August 15, 2025, to move items from a storage unit onto a truck. Only one mover was initially present, so I had to wait for his partner to arrive. During the move, the lead mover was engrossed in a heated phone conversation—so intense that he halted all work and stormed outside to continue arguing. Meanwhile, his colleague stood in the truck, singing and doing nothing productive. When I called the owner and/or manager, Desi Davis, the call went to voicemail. After he’d disconnected from his call, the lead mover returned to the unit, grabbed an extremely heavy wooden tabletop—something that normally requires at least two people to safely carry—and insisted on handling it alone. It slipped through his grip and padding, and despite my attempts to hold it, it fell, protected by blankets only, damaging a corner of the table.A few days later, once I unwrapped the items and assessed the damage, I reached out to Mr. Davis via voicemail and included photos of the damage. Instead of a call, I received a text filled with disbelief that his crew could have caused any damage, stating -“ Hi! On the day of the move I would have appreciated to have been made aware of this issue so that it could be properly documented/handled. There have been several hands that have touched your items since our job with you has been completed. I cannot accept blame for my guys because I didn’t hear from him or you that there was any of your items that were dropped let alone broken. We were your loaders which means during the transition or unload it also could have been damaged. If it was a fragile item then we should have been made aware to ensure the proper packing protocol was followed. Unfortunately I will not be able to make any adjustments to the final sale of your move. I don’t recall it being brought up to me. I can’t blame my guy based off of your word and especially seeing as you are saying you seen it and didn’t care enough up to follow up about the item.”I was only requesting that the table be repaired and not replaced. He declined to acknowledge that the company is insured or bonded. This experience felt deceptive and unprofessional. I cannot recommend their services.
I can’t say enough good things about A Special Touch moving company! I booked them through Hire A Helper to load our 16ft and 8ft pods. At the beginning of the process I wasn’t sure how many pods I needed and Mr. Desi Davis offered for me to send photos and he advised me on what was needed. So I got both!Chris & Shawn showed up on time and were so pleasant to work with! They were efficient & stacked the pods from top to bottom. They never quit working and we thoughtful with our items.Ultimately we decided not to take our couch so had a lot of extra room in the 8ft. Chris decided that he thought he could fit it all in the 16ft, and he did! I was amazed. He stayed extra time to move it over to the larger pod and saved me $1000 of transport fees because I didn’t need it!Wish they’d come unload in Florida for me!
