Academy Movers

Couldn't be happier with how our move went. James, DJ, and Kobe were quick and careful and made our moving day fun and easy. It wasn't without hiccups because it was a condo move and we had a very large couch that did not want to go in due to a tight hallway. However, James would not give up and we got it in by temporarily removing the door. Their rates are very fair for the hard work they do and they even comped the 3rd mover cost since we were originally quoted for just 2 movers. We will definitely be recommending Academy Movers to anyone we know that is moving!

Used academy movers this past week for a very simple move. Was pretty excited and thought I was getting a pretty good deal when I received email contamination from the company. The emails were extremely misleading when I was given a quote. I agreed to what was quoted only to realize that they were very sneaky in the wording of their email. Moving day came, 2 guys for a simple 1 bedroom basement that was already mostly empty before they came. They did show up on time, and the movers were friendly and efficient. When it came to paying, after just over 2 hours of time, was given a much larger total then my understanding from the email, my partner understood it the same way as me. Was shocked to say the least when it came to pay time. Not the movers fault by any means and they told me this happens a lot when the move is all done. Re-word your emails when quoting the pricing to people. Feel very taken advantage of and will definitely not be using this company again and will never recommend them. Which is a shame, cause I love the cause behind it. Horrible experience and feel very frustrated when this was supposed to be a very happy, stress-free move for me.

Academy Movers damaged wooden siding on the exterior of a home, and destroyed at least two separate cabinets. The worst part of it was that they actively hid the damage (i.e. hid broken cabinet legs inside the cabinet, did not tell us about the furniture they dropped hitting the house), likely so that we would still pay a tip before we found out that the damage happened. We thankfully had a security camera that captured what happened with the house exterior (see uploaded video). Over $1000 of furniture was damaged, not to mention the damages to the wooden siding due to Academy Movers' negligence. As of today, they have yet to provide adequate reimbursements, including the tip we paid before we discovered the video evidence and damages that they hid.

????? James and Kellan from Academy Movers provided an exceptional moving experience. They arrived on time, well-prepared, and handled my furniture with great care. Booking the move with Kaitlyn was incredibly easy. She was professional and friendly. I highly recommend Academy Movers, especially James, Kellan, and Kaitlyn, for reliable and top-notch service! I would hire them again in the future without a second thought.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Our 3 movers were so efficient, incredibly strong, and were super careful with all of our items. They were also so friendly and fun to be around for the day. We’re very thankful for them for making our move go so smoothly!
