We hired Affordable Movers for our local move in August. The moving team was late, most of our furniture had some level of damage to it and our new home's walls and floors were damaged. We were also over charged as one mover showed up an hour later than the others but we were charged the full time for him.Request for a refund for just our over payment has been ignored. I've spoken with multiple people and was told my refund should be coming and it was delayed because we paid via venmo.Overall it has been a headache and a huge regret for us.
Our movers Dante and Mario were wonderful. Everything was wrapped up (furniture) and handled with care. They were respectful and professional and their policy and price couldn’t be beaten. They went above and beyond in all they did. Would/will definitely use this company again.
I had a fantastic experience with this moving company. The two movers who showed up were punctual, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. They got the job done in record time without cutting corners.What really stood out to me was how polite and respectful they were throughout the entire process. They asked thoughtful questions when needed and kept a calm, courteous attitude even while working quickly under pressure.Every item, from heavy furniture to fragile boxes, was handled with care. Nothing was damaged, scratched, or misplaced — it was clear they took pride in their work and treated our belongings like their own.All in all, this was one of the smoothest moves I’ve ever had. Great service, fair pricing, and a hardworking team that delivered above expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or use them again.
I hired Affordable moved serves in July. 'Affordable movers' will cost you the item damages. Not worth hiring them. Poor moving service and worse customer service! The movers did not use any blankets/clothes to protect the items while moving. As a result, 2 of my dressers are scratched and one dresser mirror is broken. Fabric sofas were literally dragged across the porch. I had to ask the movers to pick them so the fabric doesn't get damaged. My walls and door trims are bumped into while moving items into a new home. To report these damage I have tried to reach the Franchise owner (Jeremiah) multiple times. I finally ended up calling their another office where a lady asked me to share the photos of the damaged items with her via email which I did and she said she will forward it to Jeremiah. Finally after a month when Jeremiah picked up a call, he said he'll take a look at the email and get back. Another 2 weeks have passed and again no calls are being picked up nor is there any callback/action from the owner. Very poor service!! Don't hire them if you want to protect your items. There are far better movers available at the same rate around Troy.
