I’ve used This Side Up Moving multiple times, and every experience has been excellent. Ali runs a top-tier operation and is always professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Moving can be stressful, but he and his team consistently make the entire process smooth and hassle-free.

Booking with Ali was super easy, he was really responsive and helpful, and the price was better than other companies in the area that I looked into.

The movers showed up within the time frame given, worked quickly (but carefully), and were friendly the whole time. Before they left, they checked multiple times to make sure everything was exactly where I wanted it, which I really appreciated.

I recently hired This Side Up Moving Company to help me move a treadmill down into my basement. It was 300+ lbs and was impossible for me to move. They were able to come same day and it only took them 5 minutes. They were very reasonable and accommodating. I would use them again for moving help!

Do NOT use Side Up Moving Company in Dearborn. I requested two movers and their largest truck, but the owner, Ali, threatened me when I refused to pay more than the agreed price. He even said he would physically harm me. The experience was completely unprofessional, and I also experienced racist behavior. Avoid this company at all costs.

Ali and the two men that worked on his team were absolutely amazing! They all worked so well together and did a speedy and very thorough job. They take great care in wrapping and loading your items, to keep them protected from becoming damaged in transit. There is no task too difficult for them. I thought for sure I'd have to disassemble my giant, oddly shaped, cat tower so it wouldn't take up so much space on the truck or break, but they said Nope and wrapped it right up and it arrived in purrfect condition!
My favorite part about This Side Up Moving Company is that right from the get go, Ali treats you like family. He knows how stressful moving is and you can feel that he genuinely cares for his customers. His comforting words really resonated with me when he says, "Don't worry. I got you!" He means it and he follows through to make sure you are completely satisfied. Great people...Great company...Great job!

Worst experience with a moving company! Had to call to confirm multiple times. 15 min before they were due to come they called and said they are 6 hours delayed because their trucks won’t work. They showed up 7 hours later with an attitude. One of the men spent most of the time on the phone fighting with his girlfriend and carrying items with one hand. They didn’t wrap anything up and set the furniture in the snow (a brand new upholstered bed covered in stains). Everything they moved is either dirty, scratched or dented. My husband moved most of the boxes to the truck for them because they were moving so slow. They wouldn’t move the tv saying there’s no room in the truck(we don’t have a lot of furniture). When they got to the new house they refused moving most of the furniture, saying it won’t fit. After ignoring my request to take off their wet, dirty shoes they left my completely stained house, with the bedroom dresser in the living room, mattress in the dining room and sofa in the garage. I called my family to help and they easily got everything where it needed to go without the movers. We called Ali to explain the situation and felt the least he could do is not charge us an extra hour seeing as they didn’t complete the job and spent so much time on their phone and ruining our furniture. He was fine speaking with my husband but when the woman spoke up he told my husband he’d call him tomorrow. We never heard from him. We contacted him multiple time to fix the situation and sent him pictures with no response. I wish someone had warned me not to work with this company. Completely unacceptable.
