Old West did such an amazing job! They showed up on time, took great care of my stuff, and were very kind! They worked quickly with no wasted time. I am so thankful for their help! They were by far the least expensive option I found and over delivered with amazing assistance. I’ll definitely use them again next time I move and couldn’t recommend them enough! If you’re needing moving assistance use Old West and support a local small business.
How many stars can I leave?? Jerome was great from beginning to end. We had circumstantial challenges of course, but he was patient and kind through it all. Reasonably priced, professional, efficient. I highly recommend them for moving.
They completely dropped the ball on our personal goods.Uhaul hired these people to transfer our household goods to another Uhaul after a breakdown. The did not load our personal belongings professionally. When we arrived at our destination, all of our household furniture was chipped, broken and cracked.Precious heirloom China was stuffed in spaces to hold a shelf up.When confronted they denied any fault and told me to take them to court.Beware, not professional, not honest.I just posted my receipt for the Uhaul. We rented 24 moving blankets for this move.We used them when we loaded the Uhaul. We really wish your guys would have used them as well.We depended on you to do the moving professionally.Unfortunately your guys aren't professional and the owner will not take responsibility for there neglect. If the way we packed the Uhaul was unsatisfactory to you, your guys should have fixed it.Your guys should have used the 24 furniture pads provided. We only drove 60 miles before the Uhaul broke down.
Set up two weeks earlier to unload furniture from u-haul to storage unit. Small 250 pound empty gun safe the was discussed and was told “no problem, we can include that”. Met on time at the storage unit and all the furniture was properly unloaded in about 45 minutes. 2 hour minimum contract, but got done early with the last item being the safe (18”X 20” X 55” tall). The crew said it would be an extra $200 to move the empty safe. We told them it had been previously discussed with the owner, they called the owner, and he said $200 also, I refused and told him that’s just not right, and if that’s the case his guys could just sit here for another hour and 15 minutes (to use up the “minimum time”). My daughter and I (70 yrs old bth) quite easily moved it from the back of the U-haul to the ramp. Simply needed a hand to move it down the 6 foot ramp, but the crew said they would be fired if they helped. The owner showed up 32 minutes later while we just sat. Big argument, told him we were going to use them again to empty 3 storage units when we close on the new house. My daughter recounted the conversation they had on the phone, but he said we signed the contract (clause about pianos and safes), and he said $200 is his offer. I told them they just lost out on future business, and his two guys unfortunately just lost their tip. Also told him I was going to post a review of this, he called it extortion, and I said just leave. He grudgingly agreed to move it down the ramp and six more feet into the unit. I moved it into its final position by myself. At this point we figured it was part of his usual work “ethic” and just paid the bill in cash rather than use a credit card.
My 26' U-Haul truck broke down by Lufkin, Tx on my move across the nation and Old West Moving was sent out to transload my stuff from one truck to another. Wow! They did the entire truck quickly and efficiently without any problems! Definitely suggest!
