We moved Feb 13-14 between Nanaimo and Victoria. The guys showed up on time and seemed fine, but I noticed 4 hours later only a handful of boxes had made it into the truck. Seemed like one guy was doing all the work while the other guy just complained loudly about having to move our stuff. Eventually I finished cleaning the house and started trying to help them but I just felt like the guy was so angry at having to help me. When they got to our new place the next day it was exactly the same issue; my husband ended up doing half the moving with one guy while the other guy complained loudly and folded moving blankets super slowly.
I’ve moved 8 times on long distance moves before and never had this type of behavioural issue before. It cost us a lot of money because as you may imagine it was super slow going. It’s a shame because the guy who actually was working was really nice.
Would never recommend them.

Professional movers who were great to deal with. Mine was a very small move requiring just an hour to complete, but there is a 2 hour minimum charge plus other fees, so I found it expensive for what it was. No complaints whatsoever about the excellent employees.

Despite a few hour delay, Paul arrived ready to work and presented himself in a friendly helpful way! Scott from Nanaimo and Scott P from Victoria worked hard with Paul to get my belongings moved down island. They took care to protect my furniture and treated it and myself with care and respect. Moving is a stressful event however, I was able to relax and know they would get things done. Thank you guys for a job well done!!

Alex gagondeep and Paul broke my front door when we could have gone through the back deck double doors that open twice as wide. and then when I told their company the next available business day they said that i didn’t mention it the day of the move so because of “transparency” there’s nothing they can do i wouldn’t let this company move my dog.

Paul Q. and Mike S. were fantastic! They were friendly, patient, calm, and strategic. They packed the 20 foot container like squirrels hiding treasures for the winter. They kept me calm - moving is a lot and then add in that I was leaving a household that has been violent with me and I wasn’t sure what might transpire. I highly recommend these 2! Burley Guys was easy to talk with and get the load up organized with very short notice. All around an experience that left me feeling relieved. Update: I was also able to get Paul & Mike for unloading the moving container. They did such a great job and again were friendly, patient and got the job done ?
